AI industry groups are urging an appeals court to block what they say is the largest copyright class action ever certified. They’ve warned that a single lawsuit raised by three authors over Anthropic’s AI training now threatens to “financially ruin” the entire AI industry if up to 7 million claimants end up joining the litigation and forcing a settlement.

Authors have until March 30th, 2026 (That is just 9 days as of this reblog, which I am posting on March 21st, 2026) to file their claim against Anthropic to be reimbursed up to $3,000 per work found in the list.

It’s that time of the term!

The voting period is now in session! As mentioned earlier, we are utilizing a new method of voting. You’ll still need to sign into the form in order to vote, just like Google, and you will be allowed one vote per category. Please note: we will be recording email addresses and media platform names to preserve the integrity of the voting process! The email addresses and votes will NOT be shared with anyone; it is simply to prevent voting anomalies. Please let us know if you experience any issues!

One of the great features about this new form is that the choices of each question will be randomized per person. Fandom members in the past have expressed concern of the first option of each question being chosen more frequently simply so people can say they voted - this will no longer be an issue. We hope this helps make it a better experience for all!

The voting form will take you through all pieces up for voting as well as all the roulette categories - fanfiction, fanart, and romance - as well as if you are a fandom artist and would like to contribute your work to be utilized in future FC banners. For each form, you will be asked to sign-in again. If you do not want to vote or contribute to any of the roulettes or fandom banners, you can either skip them by clicking the arrow at the bottom right of the page after logging in, or you can simply hit submit without choosing anything.

Remember, you have until the end of the day on February 21 to cast your votes, so don’t forget to finish up those fanfics and view all that fanart.
