If they wanted to do all these new stuff for the Pokémon anime’s 20th anniversary movie, then they should had just made a Sun&Moon movie instead.

Because I don’t see how celebrating the long journey of the series is equal to erasing most of its major history. I thought this movie was supposed to remember the series’ origins and instead it chose to ignore much of that; rather than find a way to re-introduce old characters into the re-telling, they chose to rather replace them. I had already noticed Ash didn’t have Misty’s bike, but I was still being hopeful they were just going to be creative with the characters. Erasing them completely, that is not it. This was a perfect opportunity to introduce these old characters to the new audience, and the movie blew it.

It seems pokéani is just continuing its complete cut off from its original roots, trend that XY started, and I don’t really like that in a movie that is supposed to celebrate those 20 years of long journey and countless characters and friends. Ash has had such major adventures with those friends, so if they are not gonna be acknowledged at all during this year, then I am seriously disappointed and worried. Even the games has managed to bring its history to new adventures and celebrate its origins. So why is it always so hard for the anime to acknowledge its past?? Is it such a crime to introduce new audience to those old characters, too? I just don’t get it.

Stop being so bitter. We get it, the old characters are not coming back but why does the fandom have to stop people being excited about the movie?

first of all…

and second of all… I haven’t seen anyone telling people to stop being excited about M20. like?? go ahead?? just because a number of us are annoyed, for justified reasons, doesn’t mean we’re all suddenly big bullies telling everyone who is happy about the trailer to stop cause they’re wrong. if people have done that well, they’re dicks, but there’s nothing I can do about that since I’m not one of those people.

on my personal I even said I hope people looking forward to the movie will have fun, but sadly I’m not in that group and I am one of the disappointed people. so like how about you stop putting words in my mouth? :^)
