Having her in his arms is right. It’s always been right. It just took him so long to realize it, and he can only pull her closer, fingers gently intertwining in her hair. His happiness was once again, right in front of him. Was it okay now, to selfishly hold onto it? To her?
"Haha, um, yeah — sorry I just..I felt like we hadn’t done…this in a while. And..—” He blushes. “I missed it. Missed you.”
It's impossible for her not to smile. His gestures, his voice, him-- It's all so comforting, and it's only a matter of time until she's sighing contentedly against him. Her fingers trace small patterns on his back in response, brown eyes sliding closed.
"I missed you, too." It would always be okay for him to hold her like this. He's her happiness, too. "You know I'll never say no to anything like this."
Her heart's singing.
