I keep thinking about how interesting it would be in gravity falls if Dipper never idolised Ford because I feel like he’d probably but heads with Ford a lot more often if he never put him on a pedestal. Like imagine being Ford and getting back to your home dimension after 30 years of trauma and you see this random twelve year old boy just glaring at you with more intensity than you’ve ever seen in the multiverse ,said twelve year old boy has been reading your journal all summer and yet he doesn’t trust you in the slightest bit, he’s got quick and extremely humbling insults and you just stand there because what do you mean that’s my nephew???
