Aspirations

Atomu isn't the sort of person who works towards long-term goals. He's all about making things work in the moment, having fun and laughing with his friends. It says a lot about his general conduct in his life in general. Broadly speaking, his goals are 'to keep doing what he's doing'

Mental Health

As opposed to coming from a powerful family of sorcerers, Yakichi comes from a family of curse users. Most of them have fairly minor techinques, with none of them above grade two, but when together they can pose a fairly severe threat. If they can manage to use their brains, that is.

Yakichi's cursed technique didn't manifest until he was around ten years old, considered to be a late bloomer by jujutsu standards. But that's okay - he'd already been learning to fight, and his family knew just how to give him the strength needed to make him useful - cursed tools!

They had a variety of them, but none of them were the most battle oriented, and that was when a member of the family had an idea. Why not equip him with all of them, permanently?

It was torturous. His body cut open, and altered, before ever reaching ten years old. Sometimes the pain of continuing to grow after was incredibly painful too, things inside his body where they shouldn't be, and his body having to continue to carry on despite that. He wasn't permitted to tell anyone, lest they take his family in.

Then his technique manifested, and scrambling to justify their actions, the family claimed it was a good thing. He was too strong - they truly had no idea just how strong he'd turn out to be - and he should keep his technique hidden. He'd get them caught if he wasn't careful! When he only continued to increase in strength, they elected to send him to Jujutsu Technical, the sorcerer school, so he could train under stronger mentors and become something of their personal weapon. They hadn't been prepared for the idea that him leaving their attentive eye might loosen their grip on him.

Yakichi has always been good at keeping his feelings under wraps, hiding how hard his home life was, but that never escaped the eye of one Zenin Syousen, who knows family drama all too well. Classmates and best friends since the moment they met.

They're inseperable, until Yakichi graduates.

During his time at school, Yakichi didn't really connect with the students in the years above him. That was totally fine by him, and then in their second year they went to the exchange event, hosted by Tokyo that year. Though they weren't participating, this was where he met Satoru, Suguru and Shoko. He took an immediate liking to them, often shrugging off events and deliberately not taking them seriously to end events sooner so he could hang out with them. Nobody much appreciated that, but Syousen had just shrugged and followed him.

Unlike most people, he found that he actually got along quite well with Satoru, due to his easy going nature making it hard for Satoru to rile him up and the two of them having a similar sense of humour - which proved a relief for Suguru and Shoko. With Syousen and Yakichi only having each other, and Satoru having made it difficult for him and his classmates to connect with their seniors, the five ended up spending a fair amount of time together. Yakichi ended up fostering a sort of brotherly relationship with the trio.

The following year, with the exchange event hosted at Kyoto, he met Nanami Kento and Haibara Yu. They'd been brought along to watch, for the most part. Again, Yakichi found little interest in the games, and instead went out of his way to connect with the new first years - Zenin Naoya hadn't been interested in entertaining him by any stretch of the imagination anyway.

He and Kento connected over their music and style tastes, sharing band recommendations and hair tips and quickly became close. Their relationship shifted to a romantic one, aged sixteen and seventeen, then sixteen and eighteen. They never really talked about it, just met up for things they didn't call dates, and kissed hidden away in alcoves where people wouldn't find them.

He was there for Kento after losing Yu, and this closeness was a large part of what drove their closeness.

He told Syousen that Kento might just be the love of his life, and when Syousen asked if he'd told Kento that, he'd simply asked 'why rush?'

Then he didn't see Kento for almost a decade.

After graduation, Yakichi goes abroad. He's an older brother figure, intent on protecting those around him even to his own detriment. Knowing just how strong he is, Yakichi volunteered to go abroad, and stay abroad. This allowed Satoru to be able to stay in Japan more often, preventing him from being stretched so far.

Aspirations

Aimi doesn't have many aspirations for herself, at first. She becomes aimless after graduating, then gets the role of working as a chef at KJT, and that becomes her life.

She gains an aspiration during the course of her story, which is to expose and get the teacher who hurt her during her youth removed from his position, so he can't do that to others in future.

One of the biggest themes in Aimi's story is that she has self worth issues. This comes from, and is compounded by, various things that happen in her backstory.

Scars: As a child, Ryomen was in an accident when he and his brother were left briefly unattended. Jin spilled boiling water on his face, and to this day the right side of his face is heavily scarred from it. He doesn't wear an eye patch like he used to, but the sight in that eye isn't as strong as his left.

School Life

Grades

Ryomen is smart, but he gets so bored. He pays little attention in class and has a reputation for being a bit of a delinquent - smoking, pierced, bunks off classes. Unfortunately for all his teachers, he's also incredibly intelligent and succeeds despite all of that.

Extra Curriculars

When he was younger, Ryomen played soccer, but as rugby has become more popular, he switched to playing that in high school. He prefers contact sports as a way to get out his aggression.
