its no doubt to anyone that solána would become a star..the only question was how? well, it seems like shes gotten that part figured out. watching her mom and aunts preform from a young age inspired her greatly.
she was always caught singing or humming a sweet tune everywhere she goes. it wasn’t until 2O17 when she discovered kpop through BTS, it was like a whole new world was discovered. this was her chance.
in 2O19 she finally auditioned for bighit and it seemed like she made quite the impression. she was accepted almost immediately. she trained hard until 2O21 when she was told she’ll be moving to hybe x geffen to debut as their first solo artist. during this time she was bronny james secretly from july 2O21 to march 2O22 but ended things due to her career starting.
her debut didn’t come long after. on may 22, 2O22 she debuted with her 6 tracked ep titled ‘yours truly’. though her debut was met with anticipation and excitement, skepticism was also present. many thought that she was only in this position because of her mother, tiffany rae winters, a famous singer songwriter and former destiny’s child member.
her next ep would come months later, dropping on her birthday no less. ‘my everything’ introduced 6 more tracks. now the people are paying attention.
from may of 2O23 to august of 2O23, she secretly dated the twitch streamer clix. around april of 2O23, she releases a standalone single titled ‘focus’. then comes august..on august 18th 2O23 her first full studio album is released titled ‘dangerous woman’. the hype is building and the people are talking.
this gives way for her first arena tour. the dangerous woman tour, lasting from october 2O23 to february 2O24. also in october she began dating the soccer player kenan yıldız in a semi public relationship. the two broke up in april 2O24.
but all this success doesn’t come without haters.
from 2O22 to early 2O24, people had a lot to say. some said she debuted too fast, she was a diva, she didn’t deserve the hype or the fame, nepotism is what’s winning these awards, jealousy over male idols, a clip taken out context and how did she win against against bts’s v ‘love me again’ and won the highest score? this has to be rigged..
in july of 2O24 she began a another relationship, this time with the soccer player gavi in another semi public relationship until december of that year. on september 22 2O24, her next album drops…‘sweetener’. though this was the most successful year of her career yet, the hate doesn’t stop.
people began to call her a serial dater after her relationships with kenan, gavi and bronny once they found out. fans got upset because she supposedly outshined the idol she performed a special stage with (joonseo, more on him later). debates between who’s the global it gurl, her or wonyoung? people think solána is overhyped and doesn’t deserve such a title.
this fuels her next album. ‘thank u, next’ dropped on march 2 2O25. it’s loud, confident and intentionally polarizing. a perfect response.
shortly after the release of her album, she announces her first world tour and first stadium tour. ‘the sweetener tour’ lasts march 18 2O25 to december 22 2O25. after this tour she decides to take a small break for the better half of 2O26.
from january 2O26 to late summer of 2O26, solána: spends time with family and friends. attends the met gala. develops a healthier routine with daily yoga, pilates, meditation, & journaling to name a few. she travels, visiting her favorite spots. began working on the foundations of her beauty brand and own company. she even creates her own personal youtube channel. attend jay-z’s roots concert and even bought a new home. the biggest thing, is that she found her love for writing again.
but doing this time, in the background there was something beautiful growing. during that special stage, solána meets joonseo park. they quickly became friends. it starts with occasional conversation to ‘what are you doing?’ then ‘call me when you’re free.’ without realizing it, they begin talking every day.
crushes began to develop on each side and things start to change. even the normal things feels like flirting. weather it was stealing hoodies, arguing over the aux or even the matching ‘promise’ tattoo. located on her pinky and his forearm.
now its 2O26, she’s on break and he’s in the middle of tour. she goes to support him and after the show, he’s strangely excited. says he want to show her something, a new song he’s been working on. it’s serendipity (originally by bts). there’s no teasing, no jokes, no arguing and when the song ends he smiles at her.
‘i know you like me.’ she freezes and he can’t help but laugh before adding, ‘i like you too.’ he then goes on to explain why he waited for so long.
of course she accepts his proposal, and their relationship doesn’t change. the only difference now, is that they occasionally kiss but they decided to keep their relationship private for the time being.
feeling so loved and refreshed, this does nothing but fuel her next album. she drops another album on her birthday titled ‘positions’. listening to the album, it’s easy to tell that she’s in a better place. many things happened during this era: she did a ‘what’s in my bag’ with vouge, a blurry fan picture taken at 12am of she eating nuggets goes viral, she preformed at the grammys and so much more.
march 8 2O27 is the next release date and her final album at the moment. the album is titled ‘eternal sunshine’. five years of being a artist, so she decided to celebrate with a mini reality series called ‘sunshine diaries’.
during this era: she performed at lollapalooza and hosted a after party. collab with the brand jelly cat, preformed at the met gala, did 73 questions with vouge and officially dropped her beauty brand, r.e.m beauty.
a few months later, she announces a tour but not the name. it wouldn’t be until may 29 2O28 when she releases her next single ‘hate that i made you love me’ and the name get revealed ‘the eternal sunshine tour’. she also announced a new album titled ‘petal’.
