people who say that “ so and so are making the trans community look like a joke” do you know that a majority of all the people you are saying that make the trans community look like a joke are younger than you right? young teens trying to find out how they fit in the world and who they are. teens & young adults arent going to know how they fit in yet and will try many different terms and labels. whats the point of blaming all your issues on these people who already feel like social outcasts and are looking for a place to be accepted and feel like they fit in. You know who makes the trans community looks like jokes? The Adults parading teenagers around for how they feel and how you think they are supposed to feel. if it really is just a small phase in their life im sure they will be able to determine that with enough time, being harassed by peers will not help with anything or make them ‘realize’ quicker. Not to discredit the older adults who are just now realizing where they fit in. It takes time to figure out who you are and people who go around parading how you should feel obviously dont take that into account. “younger kids cant decide if they’re trans” “ you should’ve figured out you were trans younger, you’re probably a trans-trender” “trying out he/him pronouns to see how it makes you feel and to help you understand yourself more? i think you just want to be oppressed” “how can you be trans if you dont fit into this makeshift mold that apparently every trans being fits in?”

; sick how people who claim to be supporting of eachother and claim to know how it feels to not feel like they are who they truely should be are very quick to shrug you off as someone who just wants attention when you dont fit into a stereotypical mold. when you are questioning yourself and genuinely just want to be the best you can be and to express yourself. Support someone questioning instead of instantly driving them away, i assure you these people arent using up your “resources” when most of them are just dipping their toes into the water.

Sad I have to write this out, but abuse and trauma have zero benefits to anyone’s life. You can learn anything the kind way. You can become anyone the kind way. There is no reason whatsoever to traumatize you. Everything can be done without abuse.
