Hi everyone. As many of you may know, this is a blog strictly for my cat Baby Girl. Currently I'm diagnosed with a terminal illness and have been unable to work due to being on dialysis 7 days a week. When I adopted Baby Girl from the shelter, I had a job so could afford vet bills, etc.
Right now Baby Girl is dealing with excessive weight gain, despite me being careful of what my personal support workers feed her. I had a cat before Baby Girl with this exact issue and it turned out to be a thyroid issue which they needed medication for. I want to take Baby Girl to the vet to make sure she's okay but I can't afford it myself. The basic exam is $90 and I'm sure they will want to run further testing, so I'm going to need to raise $90 to begin with. Click here to donate 💖
Okay but imagine being the team of Eridian scientists tasked with keeping Erid's Only Human alive for as long as possible while the whole planet's environment is literally trying to kill him. And then Rocky shows up and is like:
“Grace says he would like half of dome to be water.”
“Oh, is necessary for humans to have large amounts of water question?”
Small Eridian equivalent of a sigh. “No. Not needed for life. In fact Grace will die if he falls in water and does not get out.”
“Tell him we give him water in containers that won't kill him. Lots lots lots of water on Erid for Grace to drink.”
“No. Grace say he want water on ground. Also want it with excess sodium chloride compound so it will be unhealthy for drink.”
To celebrate Erid getting their sun back on track, Grace asks for some alcohol. There's a small amount left from the Hail Mary and Rocky offers to take it to the science Eridians to see if they can synthesise more.
“Grace want this liquid for celebration.”
“Of course.” They scan it. “You have wrong liquid. This contain compounds which are poisonous for humans.”
“Yes yes yes. Grace say humans like feeling of being slightly poisoned.”
this is veering slightly off the point but adding vodka to a tropical fish tank actually does have benefits and is a thing many fishkeepers do regularly. creatures just long for the hydrocarbons
Wait please elaborate on the vodka-seeking fish. Is it enrichment benefits? Does it help physiology? I do not know enough about tropical fish to know what questions to ask but I have so much curiosity what???
ethanol can help improve water quality by providing a source of carbon for the bacteria that process nitrates and phosphates. vodka is basically pure ethanol + water so it's a go-to source. it doesn't directly affect the fish but they benefit from its presence in the water!
dumb fun fact about Windowverse which is completely irrelevant but that I still have multiple paragraphs of notes on is that peter, ben and kaine are all like, infertile
For all its faults Tumblr has truly ruined all other social media for me because my friends all have Instagram and are all trying to get me on Instagram more but every time I open Instagram there are like fifteen things screaming for my attention and when I get over myself long enough to start scrolling it's like. Where is my chronological dash. Where is the following-only option. Who are these people. Why are there so many videos. Everyone is screaming at me. And then before I know it I'm thirty minutes into scrolling and I haven't seen a single thing that I actually care about. At least on Tumblr when I see stuff I don't care about I know someone I follow has found a new interest.

denying trans kids hrt when they're sure of which puberty they want to go through is also an act of oppression. even if puberty blockers are available, we're not protecting kids by denying them the opportunity to go through puberty at the same time as their peers
"what if they go through physical changes that they later regret?" we allow cis kids to take that risk. in fact, most of them are never even given a choice and told they might regret it. just educate trans kids about what hrt will and won't do for them, then let them decide
