The 100 day project - day 4.

On day 4 I played around with texture and simplicity by applying a thin layer of white oil pastel then layering washes of White Night's Quinacridone Rose & Payne's Grey on top. Just letting the watercolors do their thing with a bit of tilting here and there. I really like the way both of these colors diffuse and bloom.

This series is part of my 100 Day Project and features watercolor paintings created with a limited color range.

Each piece explores how depth, movement, and atmosphere can emerge from restraint. Transparent washes settle into one another. Edges blur, hold, or dissolve. What remains is a quiet tension between softness and structure.

These paintings are abstract studies in relationship and undercurrent. They are less about depicting something recognizable and more about allowing space for subtle shifts, shadow, and light to coexist.

Bell-shaped blooms rise in devotion, each dusted with a constellation of blush.

Dark forms rise against a burning sky, holding the last of the light.

From a crown of thorns, twin suns declare their brief dominion over the dark.

Lavender opens, letting the light in.
