i don't even have anything funny to say, i just fucking hate this. hate it. viscerally. the idea that anybody would think this is something i would be happy about is utterly alien to me and anybody making ai generated photos of me is getting blocked on sight.

i saw this early this morning and i've just had this deep feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach because this shit is only going to get fucking WORSE. luckily this one doesn't really look like me, but the next one might or the one after that or the one after that

There's already some variation amongst the visitors we encounter in game, so I imagine things will play out differently depending on which visitor you have in mind. We'll get some relatively 'docile' ones, people that are definitely strange but not enough for you to say for certain as to whether or not they're really a visitor. These ones don't seem to have any intent of hurting other people despite so many signs pointing to their true nature, even they themselves don't think of themselves as visitors. For these types, I think a possible source of their infatuation towards the Reader would be based on the belief that they'll "complete them/protect them/save them" in some abstract way. I can already see this type as clinging to the Reader like a lifeline once they let them take refuge in their home. You don't know what it is about you that's warranted their attention, but for some reason this visitor in particular has their gaze fixated on you in such a way that you swear you can feel them staring into your soul. The Reader is sort of viewed as the only sanctuary from the chaos of the outside world, like the only thing that'll keep them grounded in reality. That's where I think the obsessive + clingy behavior would kick in, as a need to have the Reader in their lives to escape the hell that's consuming everything.
