Namgyu stayed in the games for Thanos and his debt, Namgyu could pay off his own and it was clear Namgyu didn't actually enjoy the games and would've left if not for Thanos. He was doing it for him

And yet that decision led to Thanos dying, but if he'd chosen X not only would Thanos likely be upset with him/look down on Namgyu more, but there was the chance of Thanos actually killing himself after getting out because he didn't get the money and I doubt the games would give him much motivation to live

No matter what Namgyu did it would result in harm coming to Thanos, there was no solution

I hate them

so, these two sleeping in the same bed together kind of makes perfect sense. namgyu is basically like a human furnace for thanos to curl up against and get cozy, better than any blanket, and thanos is sort of the opposite, a human air con if you will, keeping namgyu cool (except for the times where thanos teases namgyu by touching him with his ICE CUBE FEET or when namgyu is asleep and thanos puts his ice cold hands underneath namgyus shirt….. oh he is sleeping on the couch!!)
