Eva Stratt in the Arctic at the end of the film, she saved earth with the information and samples Grace sent—-

But, her ship hits something, a bloody and welded submarine.

Stratt, with what’s left of her limited team, pulls a bloody Simon out of the Iron Lung sub, treating him for his injuries as he impossibly heals or uniquely mutates. Simon sees the earth and sun for the first time. Stratt has a team of scientist figure out where he came from.

Stratt, who believes in God and gave up morality and herself to save humanity, meets Simon, who gave up his morality as the butcher for the last tree, nearly gave his life to kill a eel god to save what was left of humanity. Obviously these two become friends.

Maybeee Simon snoops through the ships research. learns she sent a school teacher on a suicide mission to space, big crash out, Stratt feels guilty as shit but she had to do it???

Something about how I can relate everything to greek mythos if I squint hard enough. But YEAH so funny story, after posting this protoframe, had like a couple people going (give him a ryan gosling). And thus the rabbit hole began. I did in fact see both movies and working on the book and played the game (poorly).
