i have to live my truth and say i was disappointed by mark and eve's get together. like we've been anticipating this for so long and it was just "wanna go out" "okay" OKAY??? WHERES THE ROMANCE 😭😭 ik it was realistic to teenagers getting together but i was underwhelmed tbh .. oh well not every aspect of the show can be flawless perfection; this is the one and only gripe ive had for the entire thing lol. i guess i just wanted a more dramatic moment for them, especially their first kiss. they also got super touchy with each other so fast?? like it feels like their relationship dynamic grew completely off screen

I was thinking about this again and honestly, we just should’ve spent more time with them together to establish more palpable pining scenes between them to make their get together feel more satisfying similarly to how they’re doing Rex and Rae seemingly. They spent 3 months off screen growing separately and Mark reeling from the events of Season 2. We didn’t really get to feel that or explore it. How it happened was fine but more could’ve been done to make their proposed dynamic for audience investment to be of the past two seasons when they weren’t even the main focal relationship often times too and barely interacted in all of season 2.

Yes, it’s sweet they want to try out a relationship after being friends for awhile, letting the mutual attraction, affection and feelings of not quite love yet no longer be repressed, however their relationship still needs more substance and stronger sense of emotion between the two of them. I can’t wait for their chemistry to grow.

totally agree, the build up between rex and rae was way more satisfying. i wish they'd done more to establish mark and eve's feelings for each other on screen rather than just telling us that they like each other. with rex and rae you could actually see their relationship and feelings building on screen, instead of just rex having a conversation with another character where he goes "i like rae." i think this is the one time where they've kinda dropped the ball storytelling-wise bc why do two side characters have a better build-up than the main characters!!

rex. i love him so much. love me a man who matures emotionally. great character arc. he kinda reminds me of lars from steven universe in that he was a dick to ppl he cared about and had to almost die to realize that

and cecil..... i love morally gray characters like him. characters who want to do good but are willing to cross any line to do it. the repeated line in s3e2 rly stuck with me... "you can either be the good guy, or the guy who saves lives. you can't be both" and seeing his backstory and how he started out with mark's mindset and had to grow out of it? amazing.
