That's a really hard question. I'm not sure. Maybe Cuba, in the current day and age, for both of those questions. I'm really saying that because I believe Cuba gives me the most hope for the future of socialism, and this is a pretty tough question for me to answer, so I apologize!

I think that they have shown that so much can be achieved under socialism.

For the most part, Cuba has done a really wonderful job nationalizing the means of production.

Cuba has done an immense amount of good for women. Women make up over 50% of the seats in the Cuban National Assembly of People's Power. Cuba was also the first country to sign the CEDAW.

I am really inspired by the state's protection of LGBTQ+ individuals. They have one of the most, if not the most progressive family code in the entire world, too.

Almost 100%, and I mean that, the number is 99.8%, of Cubans are literate. Their education is free, from elementary to university, and it's amazing. Even right now, while Cuba is struggling, they're doing their best to get people into universities.

Cuba has produced some of the greatest doctors in the world! Their doctors, along with all of their workers, serve the revolution through their profession. It's such a beautiful thing. And look at their achievements in healthcare. They have fucking cancer vaccines.

I won't go on, but overall, Cuba is a beacon of hope to me and I think they have been so successful and done so much good despite what the U.S. has subjected them to.

From Portland, Oregon, we stand in firm solidarity with Advocate Ehsan Ali and all imprisoned leaders of the Awami Action Committee, who have been undemocratically detained, tortured, and denied medical care by the Pakistani state. Their so-called crime was organizing ordinary people to fight for democratic rights and basic necessities in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Pakistani authorities have openly admitted they intend to let Ehsan Ali die in prison. Let us be absolutely clear: if anything happens to Ehsan Ali behind bars, it will be nothing short of state-sanctioned murder.

These comrades are not terrorists. They are organizers, advocates, and working-class leaders who stood up against inflation, repression, and injustice. The real criminals are those weaponizing anti-terror laws against their own people for demanding dignity and freedom. We will not stay silent. This international solidarity campaign has already won support from organizations including Amnesty International and Genocide Watch, alongside unions and activists across the world. Across continents, solidarity continues to grow! We will not stop until every political prisoner is free. An injury to one is an injury to all.
