I've been thinking about this supposed "dilemma" for months now and it hasn't stopped pissing me off just how much of a grift this genAI shit is on multiple axes, all of them for the benefit of the ultra-wealthy. The obvious thing of eliminating real human people from all kinds of work is one axis, yes, but then there's also the fact that genAI usage destroys the user's capacity for critical thought, making them more susceptible to misinformation and less capable of doing anything for themselves, which obviously also benefits the billionaire class. Now they're also out here just saying, outright, that genAI is for the benefit of fossil fuel barons as well, "coincidentally" just as renewables were starting to take over not just in terms of efficiency and affordability but popularity, too. You have to keep coal and gas in business if you want to have genAI, you can't eliminate fossil fuels if you want to have genAI, you simply must keep giving billionaires money and never cut off their sources of revenue ever.

So one of the things that can apparently contribute to kidney issues in cats is if they eat too much dry food and don't drink enough water; cats are adapted to get a lot of their water from their food since they're originally desert animals, and might not get enough water if they don't eat wet food. Unfortunately, Dozy won't eat wet food no matter what; she categorically refuses to touch the stuff. So a few months ago, we were looking for ways to get Dozy more fluids, and my wife noticed at the pet store a cat drink--basically meat broth with some floaty bits in--that was low-protein and meant for cats with kidney issues. So we figured, worth a try, right?
