hey. I know it's been a stressful day. I know he's said so many hateful things, and it's so overwhelming that you might be spiraling or doomscrolling. I want everyone on here to know that you are loved. you are loved soo so so so so much and it's probably gonna be rough for a while, but we're gonna make it work. everything is happening all at once, but you need to hear this right now.
put your phone down for 30 minutes. call or text someone you love, just to check in on them. if you see yourself spiraling, go look up fanart or memes of your most recent hyperfixation.
stay home if it's too much to go out, and go out if it's too much to stay home. recognize bad thoughts and tell them no, we can make it through this. take a nice, long, hot shower, or even treat yourself. have a bubble bath with those fancy bath salts you've been saving for who knows when.
eat something green or crunchy or whatever feeling makes your mouth happy. paint your nails all different colors, make them as pretty or ugly as you want. paint your toenails too, even though you wear socks over them all the time. you get to know a secret that no one else around you does, and that's exciting.
make yourself some hot chocolate, and sit down with something to read. it could be fanfiction, it could be a novel, an ebook, listen to a podcast. heck, grab you a children's book that you used to love and read it. no one cares, go ahead and read that frog and toad, or your Dr. Seuss, or your graphic novel.
