@soap100drabbles A quick drabble I came up with for the 3/15 word set. It's about Monica Quartermaine and her son AJ. Set in 1999 directly following AJ and Carly's wedding. A bit angsty. It should be easy to follow even if you weren't watching back then. Thanks for reading!!

Doubts

“Got any advice for your newly married son?” AJ’s just put a ring on Carly's finger. Monica anticipates a full-scale disaster, but she’s trying to be supportive because AJ looks happy for once.

“You and Dad have been married for a long time. What’s the secret?”

“Great sex… Hey, don’t give me that look. Honestly? Your father’s my best friend. Despite our ups and downs, I truly can’t see myself with anyone else.”

“If Carly and I are lucky, we’ll get there one day.”

Monica embraces her son. Doubts linger.

First Kiss

The gallery is dark, the air warm. His scent tickles her nostrils - an alluring blend of cologne, woodsy spice, and temptation.

Arching up onto her tippy toes to reach for him, she is grateful she wore four-inch heels. He gently cradles her face with his large hand as they kiss. His lips are full and impossibly soft. He teases her mouth open with his tongue as her fingers curl in the folds of his jacket. As many times as she’s secretly wished for this moment to happen, the fantasy pales in comparison to reality.

Take My Hand

Natalia had kept Blaze so busy she hadn’t seen Kristina in weeks. It feels like fate the day they stumble upon each other in an elevator at The Metro Court.

“How are you?” Kristina asks.

“I’d be better if I was going to lunch with you.”

“Join me?”

“My Mami…”

Kristina looks away. “Right…”

Blaze gazes at Kristina, this incredible woman who means so much to her. She knows what she must do. For Kristina, but mostly, for herself.

No more hiding.

“Take my hand,” Blaze says.

Smiling, Kristina reaches for Blaze’s hand. Their fingers intertwine.

The Last Thing

He stares at her like she’s the answer to every question he's ever had.

Willow’s fingers feather in his sweat-dampened hair. “Close your eyes. You need your rest.”

“I can’t stop looking at you," he whispers. "If I die-”

“You’re not going to die, Chase! Finn’s going to find a cure. You'll be fine.”
