Andy Warhol, 2000 🥂, 1982, polaroid, 4 x 3 ¼ inches; 10.2 x 8.3 cm.
Maya Lin. Wave Field. 1995.
Another work by Lin that I find really stimulating. I believe that Lin talks about the creation of this work in the Art21 series (but it’s been a while). I adore the form of this, the subtle undulations and softness of the thing. I also love the concept of the earth taking on the form of water–two elements coming together. A really beautiful concept.
Also, this just looks like a lot of fun to experience. And really isn’t that what art should be about sometimes?
