Robin Jason Defender

Most people don't like the fact that he was "flirting" with Valka but I personally didn't interpret it as flirting at all. He's shown throughout the franchise to have a tendency of trying to impress people he looks up to or respects (we've seen this with Thor Bonecrusher, his father, Hiccup, Stoick on occasion, and Dagur) so I think it'd be perfectly in character for him to try and impress Valka because he just thinks she's cool. This also lines up with the deleted scene where Valka saves him after he gets his cape caught on a cage and the scene where she defeats Spitelout in arm wrestling. Nothing he said was inherently flirtatious either he even said "I'm like the son she always wanted"

And then there's the "who died and made you chief" (which I personally found hilarious 💀) he didn't have any malicious intent or anything he just said it without thinking like a dumbass and you could argue that him being THAT dumb is out of character but yeah

His semi one-sided rivalry with Eret was one of my favorite things in the movie
