Hey hey hey. Finally posted my Manon ff. I’m sorry for the delay lol I thought I’d have time to start writing but then I went on vacation.
Also, I don’t have a lot of ideas for my next project, so requests are open ahah!
But daddy I love her - Manon Bannerman x fem!reader
Synopsis : You’ve been with Manon for years, but your parents are an obstacle for your relationship.
Wc : 1184.
You met Manon in high school, at the age of 15. Since then, you’ve been in a relationship. Everything was perfect. She was perfect. Funny, caring, loving, always ready to be talk and make things better, even when you were too stubborn to listen to her. You didn’t have a lot of problems in this relationship, except one. One that was too big for you to take the relationship to the next level, one that was too persistent. Your parents.
They were old fashioned way, considering she had to come to them to ask your hand. But they didn’t like her, they didn’t want her for you. She was a girl, and so were you, and according to them, it was unacceptable.
You deserved a man, a wealthy one, with a good education, better than the one she had. Your parents considered that her family was too poor, their background too heavy for her to marry you.
Manon understood it wasn’t your fault, that you weren’t thinking like they were, that you wanted her and no one else, no matter her wealth, no matter her family or background. But even if she was understanding, it was starting to weight on her and the relationship. She wanted to go to your parents and talk to them, prove them she was good for you, that she loved you unconditionally. But you didn’t want her to. You considered that it was just gonna create problems between you and your parents, and you didn’t want that.
You were now 23, old enough to take your own decisions, to stop caring about your parents’ opinions and start living like you wanted to. Despite your age, you were still living with them as they consider you shouldn’t leave until you’re married.
This situation means you still have to explain where you were going, with who you were hanging out, when would you be home. It was tiring for you more than for Manon, but you didn’t dare disobey your parents. This led to a lot of fights, arguments.
Until one day, Manon decided it was time for her to take matters into her own hands and go see your parents.
One Sunday afternoon, the bell rings. You were surprised because you didn’t think your parents had invited someone over. What surprised you more was to hear Manon’s voice when your mom opened the door.
You quickly get out of your room, running to the front door, finding your mom talking with Manon. You clear your throat and start talking.
“Manon? What are you doing here?” You ask anxiously.
Your parents knew who Manon was, but it didn’t mean they were okay with you too being together.
“I came to see your parents”, she replied, her eyes never leaving your mom’s. “Can I come in, please? She adds more politely.”
Your mom groaned and was about to refuse, but your dad joined in and accepted, which surprised both you and Manon.
She gets in, following the three of you in the living room. It was the first time she could enter your home, and she almost gasped at the size. It was big. Bigger than what she ever seen. It was clear that your parents were rich.
The four of you sit on the couch, and your mom gets up to bring coffee and tea. Even if she didn’t liked Manon, she knew how to receive guests… even if they invited themselves.
As soon as your mom is gone, Manon starts talking.
“I’m sorry for coming uninvited, sir”, she starts with a shy smile. “I know I’m not welcomed here, but I really love your daughter. I’d like for you to give me a chance.”
Your dad doesn’t reply immediately, he keeps starting at her as if she was crazy.
“Why would accept such a thing? You’re not good for my daughter”, your dad replies dryly.
Your mom comes back with a tray, clearing her throat, embarrassed.
Knowing your parents, you knew your mom wasn’t the one refusing Manon in your life. Your dad was much stricter than your mom and it was easier for her to accept her daughter’s life.
“What do you do for a living?” Your dad asks, his voice still as dry as it was.
Manon doesn’t reply immediately, because she doesn’t have anything to say. She knew that her financial situation couldn’t be enough to make you happy.
“I’m still job hunting, sir. I have a degree in history.” She sighs, hoping it would make a difference, even a small one.
“Dad, you know how hard is it in this economy to find a job.” You hope your words could help Manon, but your dad only chuckles.
Without surprise, this didn’t end well. Your dad was hard to convince. That evening, you fought with him, your mom only standing there, listening without a word.
You could talk to him, he’d listen to you, you insists to your mom. You knew she could make a difference, she could convince him.
You also knew she wasn’t against your relationship with Manon, but that she was just scared of opposing your dad.
But lucky for you, Manon wasn’t one to back off. She kept coming back. Once in a month, she was knocking at your door, with the hope to be received. It always ended the same way : you joining her outside and talking with her on the garden for hours.
After six months, something changed. Your dad actually accepted to receive her. Maybe he was in a good mood, maybe it was the way she kept insisting to talk to him, but whatever it was, the four of you were back in the living room, talking.
“I finally found a job”, Manon announced as soon as you were all sat.
“As a history teacher”, she continued. “Not the most successful one, but still enough to be financially independent. Pays well, enough to live comfortably”, she had added, hoping it’d bring her more luck this time.
Her announcement surprised your dad and made your mom smile. You smiled too, but only because you saw your dad’s face getting less strict.
“It’s still a decent job”, he replied. “A respectable one, even.”
After that, they kept exchanging about her life. Your dad looked more and more convinced as the conversation went on, which was a good sign.
After a few hours of conversation, it was getting late and Manon to go back home. Right before she left, your dad started talking.
“You know, Manon? Maybe I was a bit harsh with you”, he said with a smile.
“Today made me realize that your background has nothing to do with who you are and what you could bring to my daughter. You kept insisting for six months, and it says a lot about the love you have to my daughter.”
At his words, Manon smiled softly, happy to finally considered properly. She nodded to your dad, not knowing what to say.
He smiled to her and shook her hand, telling her to come back the next week-end to get to know her better.

I only see daylight - Daniela Avanzini x fem!reader
Alternative ending
The strange thing about almosts is that sometimes, if you’re lucky enough, they don’t stay almosts forever.
The room is quiet except for the soft sound of tape pulling from cardboard boxes as Daniela seals another one near the door. Most of her things are already packed away, leaving the dorm strangely empty, stripped of all the little pieces of her that used to fill every corner so naturally.
You sit on your bed watching her move around the room, and the thought hits you so suddenly it almost steals the air from your lungs.
Tomorrow, she’ll leave. And if you let her walk out that door like this, if you let another moment pass in silence, then this really will become another almost.
Another thing you’ll spend years regretting.
Daniela finishes taping the box before glancing toward you.
“I think this room is going to miss you.”
Your chest tightens instantly.
“You’re the one leaving.”
“I know.”
She smiles softly, but there’s sadness underneath it now, quiet and impossible to ignore.
Neither of you says anything for a moment. The silence stretches between you, familiar and dangerous, filled with all the things you’ve both spent months trying not to say.
Finally, quietly, you whisper,
“I never wanted to hurt you.”
Daniela’s hands still.
“I know.”
“No, I really didn’t.” Your throat tightens painfully. “That night at the party, when you told me you loved me, I just… froze.”
She looks down briefly before nodding once.
“You didn’t say anything.”
“I know.”
The memory still makes your chest ache, the look on her face after your silence, the way she’d tried to act unaffected even while you watched her heart break in real time.
“I think I was scared,” you admit softly. “Not of you. Never you.”
Her eyes finally meet yours again.
“Then what?”
You laugh quietly, except there’s nothing amused about it.
“Everything.”
The word hangs between you.
“You were my best friend,” you continue, your voice uneven now. “You were the person I loved most before I even realized I was in love with you, and suddenly if I admitted it out loud, it felt like I could lose all of it.”
Daniela’s expression softens immediately.
“You wouldn’t have lost me.”
“I know that now.”
A quiet silence settles over the room again, but this time it feels different, less fragile somehow. You stand slowly from the bed, your heartbeat loud enough to make your hands shake slightly. Daniela notices. Of course she does.
Her gaze follows you carefully as you cross the small distance between you until you’re standing close enough to see every tiny shift in her expression. Close enough to finally stop pretending.
“You said something once,” you murmur.
A faint crease appears between her brows.
“What?”
“That we were good at almosts.”
A small, sad smile appears on her face.
“We are.”
You shake your head immediately.
“I don’t want almost anymore.”
The room goes completely still. Daniela stares at you like she isn’t sure she heard correctly. Your chest feels tight enough to crack open, but for the first time you don’t let the fear stop you.
“I’m tired of almost kissing you,” you whisper. “Almost holding your hand, almost telling you how I feel, almost choosing you.” Your voice breaks slightly. “I’ve loved you for so long, Daniela.”
The breath leaves her all at once. You can actually see the moment the words reach her. The moment hope returns.
“Say that again,” she says quietly, almost like she’s scared to believe it. A soft laugh escapes you through the nerves twisting in your stomach.
“I love you.”
Daniela closes her eyes for a second like the words physically hit her, one hand lifting to cover her mouth briefly as she exhales a shaky breath.
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to hear you say that.”
Something painful and relieved twists inside your chest at the same time.
“I’m sorry it took me so long.”
She shakes her head immediately.
“You’re here now.”
And somehow that matters more.
For a second neither of you moves. You just stand there looking at each other with years of unfinished feelings sitting openly between you for the first time. Then Daniela laughs softly through what looks dangerously close to tears.
“We really wasted so much time.”
“Yeah,” you whisper. “We really did.”
But there’s no bitterness in it anymore. Only relief.
Daniela steps closer then, slowly enough to give you time to pull away if you want to. You don’t. Not this time.
Her hand finds yours carefully, fingers sliding between yours with the same familiarity that once destroyed you. Now it feels like being given something back.
“You know,” she murmurs softly, eyes dropping briefly to your lips before returning to your eyes again, “I almost kissed you so many times.”
You smile shakily.
“I know.”
“I thought about it constantly.”
“I know.”
A quiet laugh escapes her.
“You saying that isn’t helping my dignity.”
“You confessed your love to me at a party.”
“You stared at me in silence for thirty seconds.”
“In my defense, I was having a crisis.”
Daniela laughs again, softer this time, and the sound fills the room so warmly it almost hurts. God, you missed this. You missed her.
The realization settles over you completely then, simple and undeniable. You don’t want a life that almost includes her. You want all of it.
Daniela’s thumb brushes gently over your knuckles as her expression softens once more.
“Can I kiss you now?” she asks quietly.
The question nearly breaks your heart all over again, because even after everything, even after months of loving you painfully and patiently, she’s still asking gently.
Still choosing softness with you.
You nod immediately.
“Yes. Please.”
And finally, after months of almosts, Daniela closes the distance.
The kiss is soft at first, careful in a way that makes your chest ache instantly, like both of you are still afraid the other might disappear if you move too quickly. But the second your hand reaches for her, the second she realizes you’re kissing her back just as desperately, something shifts.
All the tension. All the waiting. All the unfinished feelings. It pours into the kiss at once.
Daniela’s hands find your waist instantly, pulling you closer with a quiet sound that almost makes you melt against her completely. You can feel her smiling briefly when you kiss her harder, like she still can’t believe this is real. Neither can you.
When you finally pull apart, both of you are breathless. Daniela rests her forehead against yours, laughing softly in disbelief.
“So,” she murmurs, “I guess we’re not almosts anymore.”
You smile before kissing her again, softer this time.
“No,” you whisper against her lips. “Not anymore.”
