Kriff how could this happen again.

Your master was sure going to kill you this time. Ponds walked beside you know as you ran a hand through your hair.

"I've heard plenty of story's of Master Kenobi losing his lightsaber, how bad could it be you'll find it." He tried to give some comfort.

"1," You held a finger up " I would love to hear that story, 2 you don't know how important it is. Master Windu has told me many times that I should loose it because your lightsaber is your life."

Ponds stared at you for a moment before shrugging his shoulder. "Sorry mate, but if you lost it here one of the corries might have picked it up."

It was your turn to stare now. "Really think they'll have it?"

"It's better then turning up empty handed to the general."

Ponds gave you a small nod before turning to part down his own hall of the huge temple. "Ill let Master Windu know you'll be studying with Ahsoka then sir."

You opened your mouth to question him for a second but Ponds flashed you a cocky smile before turning away from you.

You scoffed to yourself for a moment being ever so grateful for the commander of the 91st.

Corries, corries right you could easily go ask the Coruscant Guard to see if they had seen it. But why was it so hard.

Would any of them tell your master, or worst. They already have.

A sweat stared to form a little at the top of your brow. Where could you have left it? The hanger, the temple. It could be anywhere on Coruscant by now.

Great great great. If you didn't find it first it would be just your luck your master would find it before you.

You stood now on the steps of the Jedi temple. You had to go quick if you were to be back before anyone noticed your gone. Ponds excuses could only save you for so long.

In the back of your mind you felt a slight humming sound, the force around you flourished as you  acted on this feeling.

You took a few steps with your eyes still closed, the force was now guiding you to the senate building? Mmm your best guess is Commander Fox might have it.

As you walked you recounted the very few encounters that you had with the clone commander. All were pleasant and nothing to make you sweat, but you still did either way.

The building laid out in front of you, the feeling was growing strong now. You could hear the hum of your kyber crystal as if it was in your own hand.

Taking a few steps you scanned the area quickly, trying to keep a low profile in a place you didn’t know all that well.

Fox was an allusive man when he wanted to be but the familiar feeling you craved coming from your saber was much strong.

You spotted him from a distance away, he was chatting with another brother in red you weren’t sure you knew who though. From here there was no sign of your saber.

You cleared your throat as you made your way over. “Hey commander Fox.”

His eyes and body snapped to attend as did the other person with him. Fox’s shoulders seemed to relax ever so slightly when he saw it was just you but all the same he asked “Is there a problem commander?”

“Oh no I was just looking for something” You casually put your hands behind your back, the hum now grew to a quite background noise as it normally did and you instantly felt a lot better.

Fox head turned forward questioning slightly until his hand flew to his hip, and sure enough there it was clipped to his belt. “I’m assuming it’s this then? You came just in time sir I was just about to contact Master Windu.”

He could definitely see the worry on your face at the last comment as he handed back the weapon you cherished so deeply.

You gave fox a thankful nod then added “You know it wouldn’t be terrible to say if this happens again not to tell my master right away.”

The man standing next to him looked a little puzzled at this small exchange of words but you decided to ignore it.

“I’ll see what I can do about that sir.” He nodded

“Thank you Fox. I owe you.” You turned and quickly made your away back to the temple before Windu decided he really wanted to know where you are.

Fox stood for a moment accompanied by Hound who seemed just as confused as he.

“So that must be the Y/N you told me about.” Hound nodded at Fox. “They definitely live up to what you said.”

Fox gave a slight nod in return, Hound was definitely right about that.

The second time you lost your lightsaber you were already making your way after departing with ponds, to the senate building.

Fox stood more by the entrance now, as soon as he caught sight he swiftly made his way over.

In one simple moment he unclipped the saber from its resting place on his belt as held his hand out.

“You keep this up and you’ll tie with General Kenobi for the most amount of times lost.” He joked a little.

You shot an eye brow up as the cool metal made its way into your own hands. “Wow does everyone know that story?” You asked with a smile on your own. “You’ll have to fill me in next time I see you.”

“Hopefully not under this circumstance sir.”

With another small smile you made your way from the senate building. Fox would have to get use to that. But he did enjoy the visits.

The third time it was already like a reflex. Fox saw you come in and scan the building for a moment trying to recognize the armor of the Corrie Guard commander.

When you spotted him this time he already had the weapon in his hand- the weight felt uneven and deadly in his hands.

Fox held it out to you for a moment as you finished your approach grabbing the weapon and stop right in front of him. “Missing something Commander?”

You laughed for a moment, eyes sparkling.

You could just walk out, Fox found himself thinking about one time. You could make a snide comment or two and aggressively grab your lightsaber out of his hands. He wouldn’t be surprised many did. But as always you stoped have a kind smile and a small bow of gratitude then ask him how his rounds were your if he needed anything.

This time you asked if he was almost done with this shift. “No, I have a few more since I took over for Thire since he wasn’t really feeling himself.” Fox shut his mouth quickly after his last words, venomous words floated around his head saying he shouldn’t have shared and you didn’t really care.

But the compassionate look told him all he needed to know. “Well tell Thire I Hope he’s feeling better un know time.” You stated. “And since your going to be on a little while I was thinking about heading to a near by caf machine.”

Fox stuck his hand out waving you off. “No need for the trouble commander I’m fine really.”

The worry in his voice hurt you for a moment. “Nonsense besides I was planning on getting one for myself. Really it would be no hassle.”

Knowing your stubbornness he gave up the fight quickly, nodding his head in a response.

He watched you exit for a second, the bright glittering saber now hung where it rightfully belonged.

In a way Fox hoped that you would loose it again, not to get yourself in trouble but it’s refreshing to have someone to listen to what you had to say. Someone in the same boat as him but not in the same seat so to say.

But one things for sure, he would never get use to the weight that thing carried when it was on his waist. He’s seen them work before and those weren’t as pleasant as he’d like to remember.

The familiar sounds of the bustling city planet of Coruscant filled your ears, making your face automatically smile.

It was nice to finally be in a place where you could lay low for at least a few days, maybe train, and see some of your friends or other clones that became like your brothers.

And some you were still excited to meet for the first time.

Comet came up from behind after you exited the ship to arrive at the temple and slung an arm around your shoulder.

“Nice to be home huh commander.” He laughed.

“Oh for sure Comet.” You smiled back at him

“Your coming to the mess tonight right? Some brother you still need to meet”

You nodded at him recalling Wolffe already asking you. “Oh for sure, Ahsoka and the 501st are on planet right?”

Comet nudged your shoulder. “Yup it’s perfect, many of the battalions somehow laid over here even if it’s just for a few days.”

You laughed at him again now coming up on the training rooms at the end of the long decorated halls of the temple.

He gave you a quick bow, even if it was in a playful way and departed to do the maker only knew what.

You caught sight of red from the corner of your eye before entering the training room, you were acquainted with a few members of the Coruscant Guard but you couldn’t recognize this person by their armor alone.

You tried to come up from the front as to not scare whoever was under the suit. “Hi” You stoped a little to the side.

He turned his head quickly to the noise. “Commander.” He nodded “Is something wrong?”

You were sure now that this wasn’t Thorn, Stone, or Hound. Hmm could this be the allusive Fox you heard much about from his brothers.

“Oh no, no need to worry.” You quickly put your hands out. “I don’t mean to distract you from your work but we haven’t been properly introduced and I have met some other in the guard. I’m Y/N”

You could feels the confusion radiating off of him now, he slowly nodded processing what you said then answered. “Commander Fox”

You smiled a little, your guess being right. “Lovely to meet you Fox” You bowed slightly. Now he was really confused. “ Not to keep you from you duties any longer but hopefully I’ll see you later.”

He gave you a nod quickly while turning away, then added. “Commander Y/N I apologize for the others that you had to have met.” You couldn’t see his face but could hear the playful tone in his voice.

You laughed then added “They were quite interesting.”

Getting back to his rounds Fox walked with his back now to you.

It was odd to him that:

1. A jedi held a normal conversation with him as if he was a real person

2. The thought of how nice others could be if they tried.

Fox tried to shake these thoughts and the feeling rising in his chest as he made his around another corner then was met with the elevator that would take him the chancellors office.

Hours later after a few training session and a much needed catch up with Ahsoka and Echo and Fives you were walking side by side with Wolffe to the mess hall.

You looked up at the other man catching his expression. “Don’t be nervous.” You said “They’re all going to be happy to see you.”

Of course they would be but the renforcement Wolffe needed you were happy to give.

“Thank you commander.” He nodded looking down on you quickly.

You entered the mess and were greeted by the faces of Anakin, Rex, and Ahsoka, Bly, Ponds, Cody and Obi-wan, including Hound and Stone and some other brothers sitting around a few tables. All were happily chatting and exchanging stories.

Wolffe gave you a quick tap on the shoulder then made is way over to Cody to talk. You yourself first greeted the rest of the Corrie Guard that you weren’t as familiar with.

It was odd that Fox wasn’t there you thought smiled at the others.

“Hello Commander” Stone greeted you as the other noticed your presence as well, each then call a greeting.

“Hey Stone.” You smiled. “Not to be rude but is Fox not joining us?” You looked around once again in case somehow you missed him.

This time Hound chimed in. “Chancellor stuck him with another shift.” The feelings you felt at the sound of his name worried you some, sending chills down your spin.

“I see.” You nodded. “So he’s just missing this meal or…” You trailed off. The glance from the others told you all you need to know.

You quickly dismissed yourself not wanting to bring their spirits down and went over to stand next to Ahsoka.

She glanced at you once while you listened to Rex and Bly exchange some stories of recent campaigns, quickly noticing you thinking.

Ahsoka gave you a quick glance catching you attention. She gave you a puzzled face.

You flashed a look back the quickly said. “Excuse me please really quick.”

Before leaving the mess you quickly grabbed a handful of ration bars before swiftly starting to walk.

You knew some things about the rounds that some of the guard made, some at this time were stationed at the front of the temple.

You headed to the hanger first, if anything you were hoping to find Fox over seeing the activity there.

You gripped the ration bars in your hand, you weren’t exactly nervous but you could tell the relationship between Fox and others like the Jedi were rocking, and you definitely didn’t want to ruin anything.

Another corner you tuned and then were greeted by the noise of endless chatter of the hanger, even if it was late into the night.

Spotting the armor you recognized from the brief encounter before. He seemed to notice you too, when walking over he straighten out his back from where he was slumped on the wall and stood at attention.

Fox gave a hard nod then said in his gruff voice. “Commander, Nice to see you again. Can I help you with something” He stood at alert in case there was a threat.

“Oh no.” You said, now feeling a little guilty in case he was suppose to be doing something important. “I just- umm noticed that you were missing out in the mess and so I brought you these.”

You handed him two rations bars that you picked up, even though they tasted like bantha crap it was better than nothing.

Fox removed his helmet now, shock was poorly hidden on his face. Taking a bar he bit into it.

“You didn’t have to do this Commander.” He started but you were quick to interject.

“Making sure our men eat should be the bare minimum.” You shook your head in disgust. Now opening your own ration bar.

Fox was quite for a moment while taking bites of his own food. “Thank you.” He spoke softly, like he was worried someone would overhear.

You shook you head. “Anytime. That reminds me how do you like your caf? I was going to bring you some later but I wanted to make sure it suited you.”

Foxs expression was shocked, his mouth hung open for a second. “I- I” He tried to protest. “Black is fine.”

You smiled at him. “Noted then.”

You finished eating your own ration bar as Fox went on to his second, light chatter filled the air around the two when the other was chewing.

You com buzzed once on your wrist. “Kriff.” You swore quickly. “I’d better head back, but it was nice talking with you Fox.” You got up from where you were seated. “I’ll be back with the caf I promised you later.”

Knowing he of course got stuck with the late night shift.

He gave a hard nod again and flashed you a smile. Wait he smiled? You mentally cheered at his jester.

“I’ll see you then commander.” He returned to his normal position on the wall.

“Y/N” you corrected “No need for formality while eating as friends.”

You flashed him a warm smile than turned to return to the mess.

Fox watched you go, it dawned on him harshly that:

1. You cared enough about him to make time to insure he got what he needed to function

2. Some Jedi weren’t as bad as he was beginning to believe

3. He couldn’t wait until you showed up once again and he could talk with you.
