ignorant shit fest

My husband and I are surprising our 6 year old by taking him to Disney for his b-day tomorrow. We’ve been in the car for 4+ hours and he still thinks we are on our way home from school. He keeps saying “looks like we’re almost home!” 😂

Do not forget about the time you used to wake up and pour yourself a giant bowl of cereal with regular milk and an extra spoon or two of sugar. Do not forget about the excitement you felt when your mom baked cinnamon rolls on special Sunday mornings. And do not forget that your only goal was to beat your siblings to the biggest one with the most cream cheese frosting.  Do not forget about going to a sleepover at your best friend’s house and secretly making cookie dough at 2am to eat while her parents were sleeping. Do not forget pizza and ice cream and cake at birthday parties. Do not forget that you used to be able to feel full.  Do not forget the time that food was a taste, not a number. Do not forget the time when there was no such thing as minimums and maximums. Do not forget what it is like to live in normalcy; you do not need to make it complicated because there is no measurement or formula to living.
