Ever since I was a kid I loved performing in front of other people and sing in public. As kids, we barely think about the outcome or the consequences of things we do. We just do it because it's fun, makes us happy and we're excited about new stuff. It's like flying, right? When you are a kid you get so excited about getting on an airplane and being part of this "magic" of being in the air and fly. But when you grow up, you don't see this magic anymore. The first thing 90% of us think about is how the hell this plane is going to stay in the air and hope it's not going to crash. Same thing happens to me with my gigs in the past several years. To me, live shows are a tricky part of the psychological side of my career. I'm in love with it and it refills me with so many positive emotions and vibes. It gives me the most amazing energy to keep doing what I love and create new music. But the psychological process from the second the gig is booked up until the first note is played on stage is a rollercoaster of emotions and decrease in self-confidence. Luckily for me, at the end, it disappears the moment I get on stage. My point is - Don't overthink stuff. Don't let negative and self-loathing thoughts make a party in your mind. Do shut down their lights and enjoy every single moment in the process. God knows life is short and wasting it on ignoring the "magic" is like playing guitar with broken strings.
