Tugging at the hem of her dress, she stands in front of the lobby mirror. It was just one night of schmoozing with the other league members from different regions and yet, it still felt like the world's worst idea. Hikari could think of a million different things she would rather be doing, but she was representing the entirety of Sinnoh.
Cynthia knew she didnât like events like this, but as a champion, you did things that you didnât want all the time.
Though she had grown accustomed to annual meetups, the dressier events were the most stressful for the girl. Nobody ever wanted to talk about normal day to day events, just the chaos of what had happened years prior accompanied by the age-old, âHow are you holding up?â
Smoothing her hands down the lilac-colored dress, her hair cascaded down the side of her right shoulder.
Only four more hours. You can do this.
Taking an empty seat in the back corner out of the public eye, she let out a long sigh. There were plenty of familiar faces, but she still felt alone. Plus ones were not allowed as technically, it was official league business. Had it not, she could've recruited Barry or Lucas for some well-needed shenanigans and entertainment.
Staring at her drink, she wondered how long it would take before Arceus himself would descend down from the heavens and put her out of her misery.
