Television, has almost became a past time, unless thereāsĀ āBreaking News, or Program Alertsā on local or national news stations i.e. CNN News.
Otherwise we're fondling with our remotes searching for the latest flicks on our Amazon Fire Stick, Netflix, Hulu, or relaxing to Pandora music. These are theĀ the creative influences that replace family gatherings, conversations with friends, romantic dates and outings with roommates.
Social engagement has dwindled because of fear, rejection, inflation, racial divide and Covid 19, and now Monkey Pox. Friends become distant, family shyās away and grocery clerks are shielded by a plastic barrier, that reminds you of an Lab Tech.
The streets remind you of a war zone; (empty, hollow, boarded, road rage, random drive-by shootings and unsurety.) Nodding of heads, is the new normal āHello.ā
Bandannas in every color, ski masks, and scarves has become the fashionista of the millennials. Conspiracy theories are rumored that 5G Towers are planted to eliminate people. While other theories say the Government had carried out this massacre to reduce the population growth. Other rumors speculate this is Chinaās revenge on US soil.
Maybe we are not looking inward, what have we forgot in the midst of this crisis? How to love, respect, acknowledge and be kind to each other.
If youāre thinking about someone, odds are they need to hear your voice. Saying a kind word to a stranger may brighten their day. A warm smile may encourage another to feel happy. Without any reservations, try paying for someone else's gas at the pump. (If you can afford to do so.) Or perhaps taking a extra Starbucks coffee to your co-worker. Offer to pay for a strangers lunch/dinner.Ā
Not only will they be surprised, you will feel better about your generosity. If your instincts, and you have that feeling in your gut to do a kind gesture.....Do It! Without any reservations!!!
