Today's project:
Made a carry bag for my water bottle.
It came with a shoulder strap, but it was ridiculously thin and poorly connected.
Used Heat n Bond to tack a bunch of tiny fabric fabric scraps to a light canvas backing, then sewed over it in a loose grid pattern with a gentle zigzag stitch. The machine's tension did *not* like the constantly changing thickness of the fabric, so I added a lining fabric afterwards to hide the mess on the back.
Cut that fabric sandwich into the sleeve and bottom circle. Pinked the edges of some strips of scrap denim to join more batik strips to make the strap, sewn into a loop and tucked inside the bottom to help reinforce against the weight.
It's scrappy and messy and going to fray in all kinds of ways, and I love it.
I made my mother-in-law a headband for Christmas:
(Ravelry project link with link to pattern and more details)
My first time doing Latvian braids and I loved them! The yarns I picked are so soft, she's gonna love it if I ever remember to get it to her π€¦ (we've seen her at least six times since it's been done, I just keep forgetting)
Speaking of spinning decorative spider webbing, and ornaments:
A couple years back, around easter, a dollarstore near me had packages of "basket filler", which was basically just that fake spider web stuff but not white. So I spun up the yellow, pink, and green into singles and barberpoled them together. It's a soft yarn, ~bulky weight, lots of fuzz and little coils coming off it. Never really had anything I wanted to make with it since I just spun it to see if I could.
So I crocheted this snowflake the other day, finally using it up. I should probably block it out but I haven't gotten around to that.
Another little leaf friend, made at the same time as the other one.
This cheery lil guy got turned into a keychain, which I currently use as a zipper pull on my bag.

An after Halloween craft. I really like spinning the fake spider webbing, it makes a surprisingly nice yarn. I only did a small one this year, mostly just to have something to fiddle with.
My spindle is tied up in a different project at the moment, so I just did a pencil spin.
On the train of old projects, here's a little needle felted Mothman.
He's only a year or two old but he's been through the ringer a few times, as the cats like to hunt him down.
Having fun taking photos of old projects as I come across them.
I made a couple little leaves a few years back (2016, I think). This grumpy fellow became a barrette!
Today I want to share this little frog price ring I made for my partner a year or two back.
I saw a similar one made by someone else back then, and decided I needed to try it out.
He's made with a wire core and a CosClay base, with some Sculpy on top for colour. Then painted deatils and varnish. Using the wire and CosClay means the ring is slightly adjustable by pinching the gap closed.
Unfortunately his crown has sustained some damage, so some day I'll be replacing it with something sturdier.
My partner has larger hands than I do, so while the ring is a little too big for my thumb it fits zeir hand really well.
Since it's that time of year I was looking through my ornaments and wanted to share this one I made in 2018, the year I got my Let's Go! Pikachu! themed Switch as my winter present.

A while back I made my own Peaches the Mouse. I actually sewed a ropey tube for their tail instead of using a felt strip, because I guess I hate myself? I really like how it looks though, so I don't think I could make another without doing it again.
They live on a shelf in our bathroom.
Decided to take pictures of my random crafts, so here's a little pumpkin friend I recently sewed. No pattern, just cut pieces from felt scraps and sewed freehand.
I've named him Crunk.
