The Kreiburg family cutscene in cage of yesteryear is only enforcing the doubt I’ve had for months about Frederick keeping his last name and passing it down to Calliope and Corbyn. The Kreiburgs are so much more insane and brutal towards their own than I thought..Frederick certainly would not want his children to bear the family name and shoulder everything that comes with it.

I could wait to find out more about his and Amalia’s relationship to see if Frederick could possibly take her maiden name, but realistically, I think a new last name completely detached from the Kreiburgs would be the pest option for him and his new family. Kind of like a clean slate. A fresh start for them all.
