Colin O'Brien. Photographer and friend 1940-2016 RIP you will be greatly missed. Portrait taken on the rooftop of what was Victoria Dwellings, where Colin grew up and took his famous accident pictures on the junction of Clerkenwell and Farringdon Road, amongst others. Sinister graffiti (666) at Clerkenwell Fire Station. On assignment for Spitafields Life I was granted permission to explore the old living quarters. It was the oldest operating Fire Station in Britain up until 2013 when it closed its doors for the last time. #Londonlife #london

Old Kent Road 2010. "The World Turned Upside Down." was one of the oldest pubs on Old Kent Road. History suggests it was named after the discovery of Australia, "meaning a state of things the opposite of what is natural and usual". I believe the pub is now a dominos pizza takeaway. The poster of Howard Marks seems appropriate.
