He watched the life slowly fade away from him, as agonising minutes passed.

Hours turned into dreadful days, where what Harry spent recovering from the war, became the unnoficial carer for a dying Severus Snape.

The man's clothes hung from his thinned frame like tattered curtains. His shadowed eyes sunken into his face as the only color seen was the redness surrounding his iris'. Food barely touched his lips; his appetite began to fade each day. Water coating his tongue was a rarity, if he ever had the energy. His gait moved slower, until the moment he needed help to move. Stairs became his enemy. His bony and calloused hands trembled with the curse running rampart through his veins.

Eating away at what remained of the silent hero.

Hopeless. Dread.

Another about to lose their life, and silencing any chance of a new beginning.

Severus was right - life wasn't fair. Not for either of them.

1 His mother's suffering from the hand of his father; if he wasn't born, she might not be forced to stay with him.

2 The Potter's death. He was the one who told Voldemort's prophecy; even though he tried to stop it by telling Dumbledore, he still blames himself. 

3 The Longbottom's suffering. The loyal deatheaters believed that they knew where Voldemort was gone. I think it's because they knew Neville could be another candidate for the child of prophecy, and Snape was the one who told Voldemort's prophecy. 

4 Sirius's death. The same reason that Harry blamed him and the fact that he didn't stun Sirius to make sure he wouldn't do something reckless 

5  Regulus's death. I think he was the one who brewed the potion in that cave, and it led to Regulus's death. 

6 Dumbledore's death. He thought if he was better, he might have the way to save his life. 

7 The students in his care became deatheater, especially Draco. He blames himself because he couldn't tell them what it takes to be deatheater.

8 The death and suffering he had to witness while being a spy. He couldn't save them because he had to remain his cover.

Reasons why its a good crackship:
