honestly adam parrish is the teenager ever. like bro is 17/18, bisexual, hates his family, wasn't alone but was always lonesome, has a weird relationship with intimacy, has 3 jobs that he dislikes but also loves, is in three situationships, is afraid of being known but couldn't stand to lose his friends, yearns and feels bad about it, is bitterly sarcastic if not completely cynical, forms bonds with random adult figures, has far too many skeletons in his closet, stays up late doing homework, created a random side hustle that did far too well, knows people have a crush on him but ignores it for convenience, would rather give over his soul to an ancient forest than talk about his feelings to anyone, and on top of all of that, is just trying his best to pass AP physics. no one has ever topped this level of 'something for everyone' in a character.

I hate the gymbro side of the internet because a lot of it is extremely toxic but I once saw a gymbro meme that was like “befriending the local trans guy so I can steal his testosterone” and I think that’s hilarious and a great plot idea for a movie. Deeply unhappy bigoted red pill meathead gym rat starts trying to befriend a trans man to steal his testosterone and ends up genuinely clicking with him and going on a journey of self discovery that either ends in the protag realizing he’s gay and in love with his friend or transitioning to a woman.
