Celebrated my 47th birthday with a weekend alone in NYC. Had the pleasure of seeing Jinkx in Oh, Mary! On Friday and then returned for a second dose of Oedipus on Saturday where a major dream came true. My husband and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary this summer and decided on a trip to London, just the two of us. We did tons of wonderful history and touristy things. But he also indulged my love of Kingsman and let me hit a few filming sites. The whole trip filled me with such joy, but these little two minute stops were just extra special!
There’s this Merwin fic I adore where Merlin is this huge dark Dragon, Harry is a vampire, and Roxy and Percival are wizards. It turns out Eggsy is a dragon too but his mum forced some med on him that suppressed his dragon and when he finally gets to experience being a dragon he’s this teeny tiny gold one. Who hoards trainers 🥰
Well I was at a craft faire Sunday selling my earrings and this lady was selling 3-D printed dragons and wyverns. I saw this tiny gold one and had to adopt him as a desk pet. He’s so cute!!

This totally fits with my Rose Tyler/Eggsy Unwin being cousins head canon, lol.
I’ve had this head-canon lately where Eggsy Unwin’s mom Michelle and Rose Tyler’s mom Jackie are sisters and they get together for tea and complain about their children’s secret, fantastic lives that leave them in a constant state of fear and wonder.
I grew up going to Broadway shows; being fortunate to live so close to Manhattan and my parents having access to tickets in different ways. So I’m used to attending a show and having an under study take over for a performer.
But this feels like I bought tickets to see Metallica and I’m seeing Black Sabbath instead. Still good! But NOT what I spent my money on. Ordered a Coach purse and I’m being sent a Vera Bradley. Still GOOD. But NOT what I wanted!
It’s going to take me a little to get over this. And not just because this trip with flight and tickets and all is costing me almost $700.
Arghhhh!
In case I needed a reminder of the bad sign I was born under. Really universe? What did I do? And before anyone jumps on me of course I’m worried about Taron. I’m only disappointed in the fucking universe that hates me.
