There's an EU initiative going on right now that essentially boils down to wanting to force videogame publishers with paid games and/or games with paid elements such as DLC, expansions and microtransactions to leave said games in a playable state after they end support, or in simpler terms, make them stop killing games.
A "playable state" would be something like an offline mode for previously always online titles, or the ability for people to host their own servers where reasonably possible just to name some examples.
I don't think I need to tell anyone that having something you paid for being taken from you is bad, which is a thing that routinely happens with live service and other always online games with a notable recent example being The Crew which is now permanently unplayable.
Any EU citizen is eligible to sign the initiative, but only once and if you mess up that's it. You can find it here. (https://citizens-initiative.europa.eu/initiatives/details/2024/000007_en)
Even if you're not European or you signed it already, you can share this initiative with anyone who is, even if they don't care about videogames specifically because this needs a million signatures and there is different thresholds that need to be met for each EU country for their votes to even count and could also be a precedent for other similar practices like when Sony removed a bunch of Discovery TV content people paid for.

oh god iād heard about the āi wonāt commission artists who undercharge for their artā post and now itās making its rounds on my dash.
please understand that this concept does not actually help anyone. the sensible thing to do if an artist is undercharging is to tip them for what you think their work it worth, and be sure to let them know that. even if this doesnāt cause them to actually change their base prices, at least YOUāRE paying for what itās worth, and THEYāRE getting business instead of nothing.
by essentially boycotting artists who are already unsure of the value of their own work (and are thus underpricing) youāre not sending any positive message. no one is going to up their commission prices when nobody is buying them. the only thing the artist gets out of it is that people donāt want to buy their art for some reason, and people whoās products arenāt selling arenāt going to say āoh i guess it was because i wasnāt charging enough, iāll pump up the prices!ā
if you want to support a commission artist, please do it by actually SUPPORTING THEM WITH COMMISSIONS rather than by choosing to take your business elsewhere because their prices were too low.

YES SO after her parentsā death, Harrow is the sole heir to the Nonagesimus mortuary business and family fortune. Once an old noble house (though no oneās really clear what their titles are, no one questions it - vibes too strong), the Nonagesimus name and family home has now fallen into ill repute and disrepair. Despite this, Harrow as an only daughter of her house makes an appealing prospect and soon suutors of varying levels of interest are knocking down her door, and it cannot be more obvious that they want only the family fortune, he vultures! (Harrow is underestimating her own goth autistic swag, i am saying this because i also possess autistic swag and I imprinted) Therefore, Harrow declares a mysterious engagement while she works on rebuilding the family business to avoid marrying into another family and burying the Nonagesimus name and to help the pretence, she summons Gideon, a former ward of the house, back to the estate, in exchange for a considerable sum to be offered upon setting up the family as a legitimate successful business.
Since being kicked out by Harrowās parents after she became of age, Gideon has found her own estranged family and is looking for someone of repute to marry to consolidate her own position within the Gaius house among the other squabbling prospective heirs. She has her ācoming back home a heroā moment when she swans up to the Nonagesimus estate in her best clothes, ready to ācourtā her childhood nemesis, with a fortune to her name to boot - only helping so she gets the satisfaction of Harrow grovelling at her feet, of course! (Me when I lie)
