"407's cultish new family seems like the perfect escape from his old life. With gracious leader Anopheles to look after him, why would he ever want to leave?"

The Commune is a psychological horror about a cult, with minor urban fantasy elements here and there.

If you love: Horror, Found Family Gone Wrong, Complex Villains and Indie Comics, it might be up your ally. The comic's main characters are also queer!

I also love worldbuilding :3 My 3D modelling skills come in handy for making fun detailed backgrounds for the comic.

Anopheles' mandibles are actually something he was born with, so they're permanently attached to his jaw.

As for shopping, he goes out on occasssion to get supplies he can't get from the commune itself. When he's outside he's always wearing a mask, scarf and coat so that he can cover up his mandibles and wings because they're recognisable.

We'll find out later in the comic as to why he hides his identity so much...

And you'll get to see more of his other outfits in upcoming chapters! He actually wears a lot of colours other than red, like purple, green and black (but red is always at least an accent colour haha)

He doesn't go out in red when he's outside because it's such an attention grabbing colour (he likes attention from his cultists, not outsiders!!)

I've been itching to make a GL for a while now, and I figured I may as well make the GL comic I wish I could read myself. There's barely any butches yet alone butch4butch stuff, and I love writing darker stories (genres for this one are romance, eldritch horror and thriller!) so I was like may as well do it myself!

This story has only just started being written so I'll be taking my time with that, but I am excited to write my own flavour of GL. If you've read my comic The Commune, you'll know what my writing style feels like lol.
