The movie’s pretty good.

Even in a dream he fixes the pillow and they tangle their fingers and the light finds them and illuminates them, bringing brilliance to darkness and love to the places others shy away from.

(This is the same with the novel. Liuyi really quit smoking and eat lollies whenever he feels the urge to smoke, all because Chusan does not like him smoking. Something something about the way it tastes when they kiss. If that ain't true romance, I don't know what is.)

(Sorry, totally forgot that there was a tiny chapter in the novel where Chusan tried to fight off his growing feelings for Liuyi because the rest of the novel is all about Chusan's pursuit to gain Liuyi's love 😅)

Back in the favor of his crew Liu Yi (HE YAN CHAO) is on the top the world. Meanwhile his university student He Chusan (HE CHANG XI) watches from the bus feeling abandoned. Feeling Forgotten.

Just two men staring at each other right at the moment to think the other isn't looking because they're desperately in love despite everything that says they shouldn't be. And the one lesbian who noticed.

Liuyi just sitting down on Chusan's bed and instantly falling asleep sitting up and with his shoes on because he felt safe there was the most poignant and beautiful thing. Because he is all brash choices and big tough gangster except right here. What a precious boy. I love this little gangster.
