        little does the lady knight KNOW  that her heart has been broken and missing pieces her whole life, ever since tywin lannister’s men stormed the place that was supposed to be their SANCTUARY.

        but she’s not a LITTLE GIRL anymore, and she knows she can’t afford to FORSAKE reality longer than she’s already done.   ❛    they would do even more damage, my lady.   ❜

        she chuckled mirthlessly. words ?  what good were WORDS going to do when her whole family was DEAD, and she didn’t even have the consolation that they were properly BURIED in the ground ?

bright dornish sun lights golden hair like candleflame, like torchlight, bright & burning gold. lannister gold, lion-tawny. little lioness her mother’s image, summer’s day gold - - summer leaf green - - lion’s blood, through and through (more true than she knows, double-blood, this lion’s daughter). yet well does brightest sun agree, as though gold had been born to be so burnished. in its light does she smile, unaware that this new face met once with lion’s teeth, lion’s claws, escaped by serpent’s cunning.

martells and sands met one by one, names like new music put to memory, yet of this girl is nothing known. “has trystane sent you? in his stead? i fear he is quite late, you see - - we were meant to play cyvasse.” 

         rhaenys forces herself to SMILE at the other, mentally reminding herself that this girl was not her grandfather nor was she her father, that it was not her dainty little hands that had the BLOOD of her whole family dripping from the spaces between her fingers ; that she was her OWN PERSON and that she was different. yet she can’t help the feeling of DISLIKE that pangs within her every time she catches even a glimpse myrcella’s golden locks inside a room. she’d made it a point to stay AWAY from the princess as much as possible for the duration of her stay, but her cousin seemed to have other plans.

You don’t… you don’t have to say anything at all.” Grief and horror are twin snakes that coil within her dark eyes and Jon hardly needs to look to know that he’s invited dark memories to seat with them. Too late now, Rhaenys is lost in an ocean of turmoil and he can only hope that the sound of his voice will be enough to bring her b a c k. He should have known better than to ask such a wretched question. Long years it may have been, before his lifetime in fact, but he’s heard stories of the sack and the atrocities lain to this princess and her family. “Don’t think of it. Focus on the here now, Princess.”

        ❛     i’m not comfortable with her around.   ❜  she hugs her arms, hands SQUEEZING flesh as she watches the princess stroll their gardens. the bright yellow flowers seemed to COMPLIMENT myrcella, the color almost matching the VIBRANT SHADE of her hair. rhaenys knew she wasn’t alive when her grandfather’s men BUTCHERED her mother and brother, but she still couldn’t bring herself to WARMLY welcome her into dorne.   ❛    why did we agree to betroth her to trystane ?    ❜

        ❛     you have a lovely home, lady sansa.   ❜  the princess finds herself smiling GENUINELY at the other, despite her COMPLICATED FEELINGS towards house stark. the period her father had supposedly loved lyanna stark had long gone, and though her parents have reconciled, she can’t help but harbor an OUNCE of dislike ; no one deserved to feel the way her mother did when her father crowned another woman as the queen of love and beauty.   ❛    the people are very HOSPITABLE and graceful as well. i’m sure my father will like winterfell as much as i once he arrives.   ❜
