There's a common claim that Timmy's contact with fairies is solely the result of misery and youth. However, here's why I think not. It's too vague and a fabrication by the councils and higher-ups to cover their tracks.

There's one hole in this: It's NEVER specified what exact age the child loses the fairies, not even in Channael Chasers.

Episodes have shown that Jorgen can always literally mind-wipe people, so maintaining a secret isn't a challenge but a test. It's actually a selective proficiency with Timmy (and other candidates).

It parallels Danny Phantom: if anyone other than Danny went into the portal, they would not survive. That was quietly confirmed. 

Further evidence is in Remy Rides Again. Remy's revenge was to make things peaceful for Timmy so Cosmo and Wanda could leave. However, it was all revealed to be Jorgen's convoluted plan to send Juandissimo to Earth. He actually returns the fairy to Remy as more punishment than reward, not simple misery. 

There's also the idea that one may still maintain memories if one thinks hard enough. Mr. Crocker leans towards that. It might be an error, but Sparky can actually help link things. As a fairy dog, rules may be different for him, as he had multiple owners. Reminder: due to the soft reboot, Mr. Crocker's orgins a little diffrenet. That

Every (almost official) time the timeline resets (or branches off).

Abra-Catastrophe (and Deja Vu, more as a joke) - Timmy alone does not have that immense power to reverse things himself. It was the fairyversary muffin that gave him a rule-free wish. He wished Cosmo & Wanda would return, erase the memories, and basically revert to the beginning of the special. This was likely originally planned as a TV movie after Season 2, until Season 3 was announced; thus, it shifted towards the latter.

Channel Chasers - Timmy actually does this thing again, with the combined power of the TV remotes, not just the fairies' wands. He even wished away the TV remotes, thus clearing that timeline. This movie was actually a mid-season finale of Season 4, as School's Out: The Musical is the season finale. However, Season 5 was announced, and that special aired in the summer with that season.

Jimmy Timmy Power Hours - This is where things get complicated for obvious reasons. To sum it up, all crossovers (including Nicktoon Unite and Battle for Volcano Island) happened, as the games strongly imply that Jimmy and Timmy had already met before (JTPH1). Nonetheless, after these events, the worlds got tangled and forced a major reset. However, only Jimmy, Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda (SpongeBob and Danny Phantom) maintained memories. Nicktoons Dice of Destiny finally hints at this, and Timmy leads the narrative.

Wishiology trilogy - Jorgan and Concil reset everything at the end. They can even wipe memories. There's also a reference to Abra-Catastrophe, which suggests that Timmy can remember the events.

The Past and the Furious - Another time-travel episode; it's also one of the last episodes of Season 9. The next season is another one.

S2 E5a A Mile In My Shoes - Timmy has to walk to school in the rain because his dad turned the car into a fighting robot. When he arrives, all wet, the other students target him with dodgeballs.

S2 E 6 Foul Balled - After some pity, Timmy wishes for Chester to do better at baseball. It backfired, as Chester became completely stuck up and treated him like a literal pack mule. He also grants Mr. Turner another wish to wear pants, only for him to still be called a pack mule.

S2 E12 Scary Godparents - The neighborhood only gave off treats to kids with amazing expansive costumes, even his parents gave his stuff to these kids without permission.

S3 E6 Most Wanted Wish - None of the kids at his school picked him in any event.
