Backstreetās Back!
Hey yāall! Iām very sorry I skipped out on about a monthās worth of posting, but I will try to keep up from now on (which is only like 2 more weeks -- OMG!). I needed to take some time for myself, and writing was getting really stressful. All forms of writing were just kind of soul crushing for a little while there, so I stopped writing here. It wasnāt just writing either; I was just generally having a pretty rough time, and I decided I needed to do what I had to get back on track. On track to what? Who knows, but I think Iām closer to being on whatever track I was on now. But it is different; itās a different track. Not a better or worse track, just a different one, and I like it. I feel like I finally started being a person, rather than just a worker. Iām good a being a worker. Itās not that it comes easy to me, but it comes easier to me than being a full-fledged human. When I can focus on work, I can block everything else out, which means less social bull, but it also means less positive social interaction as well. This is kind of where I was, and also part of why I stopped writing. I have become slightly more social, and itās a good thing.Ā
Okay, letās see if thereās anything I didnāt post about, but should have during my writing hiatus... Well, I posted the music video that I worked so very hard on, and you should totally check it out if you havenāt yet. I am actually super proud of it, and I loved making it, even though singing is definitely not my strong suit. In fact, Iāve already written a couple more songs, and I am desperately trying to get one of them in the final show here. Other than that, I donāt think anything of particular importance has occurred since Iāve been MIA.
However, this week is crazy and full of big, scary, exciting things. Tomorrow (Wednesday), we have our stand-up assignment, which is just as terrifying as it sounds. There is a very good chance that I will get onstage, and then forget my set, freeze, and possibly even start crying. Great... We also have the first part of our final writing packet due this week, which also scares the crap out of me because, you guessed it, Iām not a writer. Lastly, we have our final acting showcase on Friday. The showcase is classic comedy scenes, and Iām not sure it gets more classic than Shakespeare (who just had his 400th death-iversary), so itās quite fitting that that is exactly what I am doing. To be honest, I am pumped. I loved Shakespeare...a lot.
Alright, well, that is what is new in my news, so Iām gonna leave you here. Stay classy!
