It's been a while since my last post. Some SKUs have sold out but there'll be more stock arriving mid December just in time for the Christmas consumer season. Welcome to the @smartleashco 2019 California sales trip. We've been here for 10 days already. We finalised things in the new bus in Santa Cruz before heading south. Who doesn't love saving money and reducing landfill?! This happy customer was able to perform a #leashrescue on two different leashes. Instead of throwing out the broken ones, he was able to keep most of them and simply replace what was broken by using a fin key. Photo 1 uses a @smartleashco rail saver to replace the broken Balin rail saver. @patagoniaaus has just launched a campaign #bigoildontsurf and are serious about stopping big oil from drilling in the Great Australian Bight FOR GOOD! Here's a quick 5 why this is a ridiculously stupid idea and should be squashed on the head ASAP. Link in @patagoniaaus bio to sign petition!! 1. 85% of the species found in the Great Australian Bight are found nowhere else in the world and many are listed as threatened or endangered. It contains more endemic species than the Great Barrier Reef. 2. Equinor has been criticized by Norway's Oil Regulator for its safety record "including a doubling of the volume of oil spills from their Norwegian wells last year and fourteen major safety incidents since 2015 3. Even conservative modelling shows that a spill could impact all of southern Australia's coastline from WA to Victoria, through the Bass Straight and around Tasmania 4. Hundreds of thousands of jobs and lifestyles stand at risk in the case of a spill. The South Australia Fishing industry alone had a total value of around $442 million dollars in 2012-2013. 5. On top of all this, it's completely experimental, no rigs have been drilled in this depth of water, in an area so remote and so exposed to nature's forces.  #fightforthebight  Thanks to @patagonia for leading the charge against this very worthy cause!!
