“ i don’t need you to do it for me, just give mine a little look over. ” rab dropped the potions essay in front of him, rolling his defeated hues wearily. 

          “ we can’t all be good at potions like you are, otherwise the world would be a fair place. if only. ”

"We're not in the same class...” Although this was true, it didn’t stop Sev from pulling the paper closer to examine. “You spelled asphodel wrong.”

“It’s already done, I was just hoping you’d look over it, since you’re a walking potions encyclopedia.”

“High hopes...” Severus replied, almost as if he was about to get up and leave--but instead, he extended his hand out to her to take the assignment in question.

“Well, guess it’s a good thing I wasn’t asking you to then.”

“Then... what do you want?”

Alecto sighed dejectedly in response, wishing Severus would share his talents just a little. ”Snape I think you’ve literally just broken my heart.. Are you really sure?”

While he was ready to say no, and end the discussion--he knew how his fellow Slytherins were. “What will I get out of it?” 

a pout displays itself on porcelain features. “please severus? you know i hate potions and it would be a shame not to put your talent to work. i’ll even add in a few hearts here and there, then it’ll look like mine.”

"I can't be held responsible for robbing you of valuable educational experiences." Sev replied sarcastically.

“Oh, I–…” Daisy hesitated, taken slightly aback, before she smiled brightly and began to speak again, “Maybe you’ve mistaken me for someone else? I’m not here for homework… It’s Severus, right? I was actually wondering if you’d like to study for the next test with me. I’m pretty good at Potions, but I know you’re one of the best!”

She seemed nice enough--that much was true. But Severus remained suspicious. "Did someone put you up to this?" He was quick to look for answers. "Potter? Black? It's not funny."
