In order to properly enjoy this “fun house” Amelie would’ve needed about 3 more drinks- at the moment, she was rather overwhelmed at it all, and had left her group of acquaintances in favor of finding an exit. Cramps, she’d said. She needed a tonic. When someone grabbed her elbow, Amelie tensed up, but recognizing Rabastan, she settled down.

“High hopes…” Severus replied, almost as if he was about to get up and leave–but instead, he extended his hand out to her to take the assignment in question.

Amelie felt herself getting cross- as a good student she disliked asking for help, but her grades meant everything this year. As she realized Severus was almost accepting her request, she handed over her papers and sat. “Be brutal.” No mention of how much time and effort she’d put in- she needed amazing grades and NEWT scores to get her medical internship come graduation.
