I never thought I would do some kind of ‘anti’ gifset. But I was making screencaps for another gifset I’m working on and I came across this scene from season 2. It immediately made me think of the way Dany was treated in s08e01 (aka the one where the North “kinda forgot” about basic decency). And I couldn’t NOT do it.

Jon & Daenerys haven't even met yet in the books. On the show they had wildly different upbringings on separate continents and didn't really know of each other until their early twenties. They found out they're blood kin after months as publicly acknowledged lovers. Rhaegar died before either was born and will never be more than a sperm donor to Jon since he spent his whole life thinking Ned was his biological father. Jon was raised a bastard of House Stark and a Northerner, viewing Dany as a foreigner, an emerging out of nowhere remnant of an extinct House that used to be the country's previous overlords, until she lost a dragon saving his life.
