Figure drawing night this Wednesday (11/18) in Clark Hall from 6 to 9 PM. $3 for members and $5 for non-members!

Reminder for this week: Check your emails!  If you were selected, please drop off your work to the VAS Room (rm. 205 in Clark) by 5:30!  The Hyde show will run until Thursday.  Wednesday (11/11/15) will be a Double Feature Movie Night!  We will be showing "A Trip to the Moon" and "(Untitled)" Be prepared for pizza and fun at 7 PM in the Contemporary Art Gallery.

Just a reminder: We have our monthly meeting today in Clark Hall's painting lab at 5:30pm Digital submissions to the Hyde show next week are due by tomorrow night by midnight. Email submissions in similar fashion to the HRAC email process to [email protected]. Figure Drawing Night is this Wednesday at 6pm till 9pm ($3 for members and $5 for non members). Don't forget to pick up your artwork from the HRAC this week.

I hope everyone had a great break!Just a reminder that there is a monthly meeting today where we will discuss events coming up for the month. Our meetings are typically at 5pm, but we will be moving it to 5:30 so that students in Palmetto Press can attend both meetings if they'd like. Palmetto Press will be meeting at 5 in the print lab.VAS will be meeting at 5:30 across the hall in the painting lab. We also have figure drawing night this week on Wednesday, from 6-9pm, in Clark 110.

Alright guys! Don't forget to check your emails. I just sent out a huge one with a list of all the accepted artists. We are also planning on having a show in the Hyde gallery exclusively for those who were not selected but still want a show. Details in email. Check it.

I've finally heard back from birdcap. Some of the art selected belongs to people who have not paid to be a VAS member or paid for the submission fee yet. Because of this we will be allowing people to pay us until tomorrow night at 7pm. After 7pm tomorrow, I will be mass emailing the list of individuals and art that has been accepted. Anyone who has not paid will be automatically dropped from the show regardless of selection by birdcap. If you know you have paid and would like to know if you have been accepted, please email me back at [email protected] and I will let you know. Sorry this whole experience has been crazy for everyone.

Just a reminder: Events coming up this week Drop off for the HRAC show will be accepted in Clark Hall 200 until September 29th. I will be sending out emails Monday with more information. Wednesday night is our first movie night! We will be showing Paprika. Movie will begin at 7pm. Food and drinks will be available for VAS members. The movie is free, but members will be required to exchange their tickets for food and drink.

Don't forget that we will be meeting at the Hammond Regional Art Center today! Anyone that needs a ride there can meet us in the Hyde gallery (1st floor Clark Hall) at 5pm so we can carpool.
