Just gonna leave this here since people apparently can’t leave me alone and because this is the reason I’m not even entertaining or wasting my energy responding to any of the foolishness going on because some of you have taken this situation WAY too far and you need to stop beating a dead horse and move on with your lives. 

I’m sure many other people are sick and tired of seeing this drama and just want to get back to the daily KatsuDeku schedule. I’m well aware some people are purposely dragging this out because of personal grudges, and its pretty amusing.

Anyways, I don’t want negativity on my blog at all, but it seems I have no choice but to stand up for myself, especially since my harassers and stalkers from my past have tried to take an opportunity of this situation to twist things around to their advantage.

To the people who are continuing to harass me like some sort of sick game, you guys are really pathetic if your lives are so sad that you have to spend your Spring Break continuously harassing someone like this even though they’ve already did what they could to make amends. Starting a smear campaign and trying to get a kick or jab at me whenever you can because you aren’t satisfied I’m not giving you a boohoo reaction or whatever the hell some of you are hung up about is so unnecessary and juvenile. 

You’re obviously not trying to do the right thing or spread awareness like you claim to be if you stoop this low and continue targeting someone for harassment. You’re just being bullies with nothing better to do, and you’re actually making western fandom look worse with your unforgiving lynch mob mentality.

Now I’m gonna say this once, and I hope anyone who reads this remembers it well. I am stronger than you think and nothing any of you say or do will stop me from doing what I enjoy. Please do feel free to continue talking about me obsessively, because it just shows how sad some of you are with your own lives if you’re too busy obsessing over mine. In all honesty, I couldn’t care less about what strangers hidden behind a computer screen think of me. 

No matter how much any of you try to slander my character or bring me down, I’ll still be here because I ain’t going anywhere. If you don’t like it PLEASE block me. You’ll be doing me a huge favor because I seriously don’t have time for any of this petty immature internet bullshit.

You don’t know me, and I am not scared of your childish witchhunts. I stand by my belief that translating is a valid form of labor and translators should be paid for their time and their share of hard work by translating. 

Also again, cut the holier-than-thou crap with the “other translators who post doujinshi translations and BNHA scanslations in public are more ethical” because its not ethical when you know damn well those translators didn’t get permission to upload them publicly and you know it hurts those artists and Hori too.

You can’t go shaming someone with “DON’T DO THAT YOU’LL HURT THE CREATORS!” Then turn around and do exactly just that by reading their works on pirating sites for free. Don’t be hypocrites. I find it ironic how some of you go on about legalities, but you’re completely aware the BNHA scanlations are piracy as well as the manga and anime you enjoy for free every week on pirating websites. 

Now why did I think it was okay to translate privately? Because people post fan art and translate privately in discord servers and messaging apps without permission all the time. I think there’s a difference in sharing privately and publishing stuff in public. I’ve already explained why I didn’t see a problem translating in private before because so much of this behavior is normalized in fandom so I’m not gonna beat a dead horse.

I know who I am, my real friends and supporters know who I am, and they know I would never go around with the ill intentions I’m being accused of having. I clearly stated what services I was providing, linked and gave proper credit, and never claimed anyone else’s work as mine. If you wanna forsake me because I thought it was alright to do translation commissions privately, feel free to do so. I don’t want to be around people that make me feel like I’m walking on eggshells in fear I’ll make a mistake and have my throat slit for it because an apology would never matter to you guys anyways. Sounds too stressful to me, so no thanks.

I’m not here to please people who are quick to throw me under a bus over gossip, rumors, or the moment I slip up. Like excuse my language, but take your fakeass outta here. Some of you act like you’ve never made a mistake you regretted in your lives. Stop trying to constantly shame people for their mistakes when you know no one is perfect. 

And for the love of god, please watch out who’s words you decide to believe. Most of these petty grown ass women trying to make me look like a monster by spreading more rumors and lies are my obsessive stalkers from my past who harassed me and my friends, and they’re taking this opportunity to get back at me.

For starters, I want to point out that using a screenshot of one person agreeing with you doesn’t help your case. I mean, that’s obvious with anyone with critical thinking but I appreciate your attempts at saving your skin, even though it could all have been solved if you had at least tried to write a decent apology for PROFITING OF OTHER ARTISTS’ WORKS BY MAKING A PATREON FOR TRANSLATIONS OF DOUJINS WITHOUT THE ARTISTS PERMISSION instead of writing a call out post attacking other translators that had nothing to do with what you did, and pretending to be the victim as per usual.

You’re calling people harassers and stalkers, even though you are the one who harassed many people from the owari no seraph fandom including many close friends of mine by telling your followers and your friends how oh so bad they were, using out of context screenshots just like you’re doing right now, that is without mentioning the top-bottom wars you caused, of course.

Out of appreciation and respect for our mutuals in common (I’m really sorry everyone) as well as because of my personal hope that you would stop attacking anyone who didn’t share your tastes or agreed with everything you said, I let you be.

there are reasons for why i dont want to post the rest of the conversation that happened between seairu and i (at like, 4am my time too, im fucking tired guys–i cant fucking believe i had to wake up to people informing me that a screenshot of a private conversation, used without my permission, was used to open a call-out post in an issue that i had clearly expressed i wanted no part in). 

the screencap that seairu included there was my attempt to remain neutral and to avoid picking a fight.

the only reason why we were speaking at all was because i was passing along a message from someone else.

but, to clarify:

when i say “i agree that what happened was a really bad overreaction to what was essentially a really small, technical difference.” i was talking about the ethical difference between commissioned translations that are paid for individually, as a service, versus putting translations behind a paywall, which makes it a good.

to me this is a very subtle, technical difference. and when trying to figure out what the fuck was going on it took me awhile to figure out what the issue was.

this post cleared things up for me.

and i stand by my statement–all of this drama regarding this issue was overblown.

HOWEVER. that is NOT criticizing the people that were calling seairu out for this.

even if it’s a small, technical issue, i do think its worth pointing out. even though it confused me a lot and it annoys me to see drama when im just here to have a good time, like everyone else, im glad to have been educated more on this issue.

but in my opinion, the reason why the drama got so bad wasn’t the fault of the people criticizing seairu. it’s seairu’s actions that dragged this out for so long.

1. if you’re going to take screencaps of private conversations, the least you could do is blur my url out. as i have said, i didnt want to get involved at all. im only here because my views were misrepresented, and i felt that it was necessary to clear things up because my words were used to open up a call-out against people who, as far as i know, have done nothing wrong.

so imagine my consternation, when seairu used a screencap from our conversation to do the EXACT OPPOSITE.

dont fucking ask me to ask people to take down their call-out posts, and complaining about witchhunts, and then turn around and make more call-out posts and trying to start witchhunts of your own.

Don’t act like you’re the victim here, because you know damn well you aren’t. Your apology was weak as hell and it’s obvious you don’t mean any of the condolences you give out to the people you harmed by the way you are acting here. You don’t act like you’re sorry. You try to save your ass by claiming victimhood and going with the “I’m strong and won’t be beaten by bullies!” tactic. Calling you out on your unethical behavior is not bullying. It’s not taking your shit.

As an artist, I’m damn offended you believe that what you did was ok. As what has been stated by many people, being paid once for your services of translating so that people of other languages can enjoy that content is not the same as asking for money from people each time they view a single page of the comic, aka, someone else’s artwork that you changed the words for. I, as someone who puts a lot of time and effort and love into my artwork, would be outraged if I found out someone was profiting off of /my/ creations. Sure learning a language is hard and it takes time to translate, but that does not validate you putting someone’s work on a website that can only be viewed through a payment, to you, not the artist, and without permission. We’ve seen the artists’ reactions to finding out about what you did and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Pointing fingers at others isn’t going to help you either. It doesn’t matter what any other asshat has done - it does not erase this situation. You are still responsible.

Your behavior is clearly indicative of someone caught in a foxhole that has nowhere to go and won’t bring themselves out to face the consequences of their actions. Perhaps you could have changed this with a SINCERE apology, but given your past how could we expect any different of you? Your original post is gone, perhaps you realized all this? That you aren’t getting anywhere?

All I have to give is an apology to any of my followers that are fans of Seairu’s content. I didn’t plan on getting in any of this, but I’ve had damn enough seeing my friends like this and putting up with an entitled jackass who doesn’t respect artists. If you’re angry at me for this, I don’t care. You are free to send me hate messages if you please. I’d rather deal with Lyric and her buddies than the people who have been caught up in your drama for so long.

as we all know this person running the main katsudeku blog is toxic. how do i know? i’ve been talking with a few other users who have interacted with her and none to our surprise, this massive public blog with 10,000+ followers has a handful of people blocked. which means that through means of the other accounts this person owns and has gotten on their bad sides, she’s keeping track of us so that we can’t try and cut down her defense. she’s recently attacked another user over something almost a year old again. bringing up screenshots of unrelated issues to keep blame from herself. she attacked a user named kron and when she was capped for it she terminated or disabled 3 of her blogs. of which she would rename constantly.  now that the lashing form her recent ‘kronbitch’ attack, she’s moved onto another user thinking we will not respond or probably hoping we do so she can make sure to keep track of who’s watching her because she knows we have evidence against her. if you’d like more information links can be found in the post below the photos.

Not only did she bring a random user back into her bullshit, but that hyper link only is screenshots of a few users in a private server expressing their opinions on the art. now I don’t really care about the whole shota thing but if those people kept it private, and you got screenshots of it, AGAIN PRIVATE, then aren’t you technically being the disgusting one by bringing this public while just trying to bring someone else down? you didn’t even warn people it was porn! you just said beware it’s graphic and that was it. and you only shamed two users, i think you’ve got a grudge against a few of them.

Remember that one time I said I didn’t want to know the specifics? I sure do. I seriously don’t want to know one side of this. Cause, yeah, when you say that it sounds terrible! Like, absolutely horrible! It is in no way shape or form ok to send explicit images of that nature to a room full of people you know are minors who are in a chat that don’t want to see them.

However, what I don’t know is that person’s side of the story. I don’t know who runs the zine. I can’t possibly pass judgement on someone who isn’t here to defend themselves, that’s not how it works. And I don’t want to participate in spreading half of a story. I honestly debated a lot about even answering this, because it puts that information out there, on my blog, where I don’t actually want it because I’ve been avoiding fandom drama (And yeah, it’s still unfortunately fandom drama). But it felt rude not to respond, so…

Anyway, even if everything you said is 100% how it went down the fact is there are a lot of talented artists and writers working on that zine and I still want to support them. One person doing a bad thing (That I don’t know why they did or if it’s even true that they did it) does not mean everything should be ruined for everyone.

But this is honestly the last thing I will answer about this. I don’t want to make any of my followers uncomfortable by having this conversation here. I am vaguely aware that there some sort of feud unfolding between people in the fandom, some of whom worked on akogare. Is that what you’re referring to? I don’t know the specifics, nor do I wish to. I have no interest in getting involved with any fandom drama. I am true neutral in this. I have no horse in this race. I just want everyone to be happy and get along, but I understand that that’s probably not how it’ll go down, so I guess I’ll just sit here and hope for the best.

Now, in regards to ‘supporting pedophilia’. That is a very, very serious accusation. I know that somehow on Tumblr it’s become just another insult to fling at someone, but it really shouldn’t be. The exploitation and abuse of children is a horrific, serious crime that cannot and should not be understated. Now, I don’t know the reason you think supporting that zine supports pedophilia. Frankly I don’t see that being very likely. I’ve seen the work of many of the authors and artists who contributed, and I don’t recall seeing anything from them that made me think ‘Oh no! This person is a pedophile!’ So I guess I’m mostly confused by your linking the two?

Anyway, you clearly feel very strongly about this, and I respect your right to have that opinion. If you don’t wish to interact with me that is completely up to you! I’m just telling you that the person who runs KatsuDeku is someone who has notoriously spread hate speech to really good, kind members of the BKDK community, used to charge people good money to read translated doujin without any knowledge/credit/permission to the original creators, has commissioned someone to write bkdk fic and claimed themselves as a cowriter, and has caused a lot of drama and heartache to many intrinsic, genuine members of the bkdk fandom whom you all know and love.

It is RARE I have so little respect or care for another human but they are honestly very bitter, lonely, and angry about no longer being liked within the fandom and will do and say anything to hurt the people within it.

I don’t nornally bring all too much drama/fandom discourse onto my blog, but I have a few things to say.

For anyone who doesn’t know Kron/Bubblyn, she is probably one of the nicer artists in this fandom that even gets flustered/embarrassed when she gets compliments on her work. To top that off, she is currently lives in the Philippines where a large hurricane of similar size to the one clashing the east coast of the USA. To target someone who not only doesn’t go after people and is in the middle of a natrual disaster that might not even see the posts… well.. It’s disgraceful and deplorable behavior.

In addition to this, if you are interested in any bkdk content, I would recommend any of the other specialty blogs compared to the katsudeku tumblr. Why?

You might have noticed the katsudeku tumblr only reblogs its own posts. (No really go to the blog and look for any posts prior today.) It is an attempt at popularity for only her posts/content. For those of you who remember, this was how her for profit translation posts where everywhere.

It is also why during her “apology” post she called out two other translators who were only accepting tips and doing their translations as a labor of love to the fandom. The two translators that, much to her dismay, translated the bkdk chapter in the Light Novel before she had a chance to. Why bring this up? Because these are also two people that run Akogare, which she bashed at for having “terrible people.” Coincidence?
