i would like everyone to know they sold these bee movie-themed honey containers at local grocery stores when the movie came out and they were on sale at some point so my family bought literal Crates full of them and now i have tons and tons of barry the bee themed 2oz honey jars in every cabinet in my house that expired over five years ago

The evolution of the Slender Man Fandom will pan out in waves: 1st wave (2009 - 2010) - A user of the Something Awful forums named Victor Surge creates a post on the “Create Paranormal Images” thread telling of a creature called the “Slender Man”, first vlogs and blogs emerge and gain viewership. 2nd wave (2010-2012) - Golden age of the Slenderverse, many new series are created and shared, a few indie films are created (Hylo and Entity for example). 3rd wave (2012 - 2013) - Slender is released, viral explosion causes Slender Man to be a widely known meme across the internet. Many videos, indie films, and games are created. Kids cosplay him at cons and dress up like him for Halloween. President Obama plays Slender. 4th wave (2013 - 2015) - Marble Hornets releases its last video. A big budget Hollywood Slender Man movie is green lit entitled, “The Blair Witch Project Three”. Halloween Horror nights is Slender Man themed. Hot Topic begins selling Slender Man shirts. 5th wave (2015 - 2020) - The film is major success/failure. An official Slender Man game based off of Slender is developed to critical acclaim/disgust. A sitcom based off of Marble Hornets is produced to moderate acclaim/disgust. Disney buys the rights to Slender Man from Victor Surge for $10 million. Most of the world knows about Slender Man. 6th wave (2020 - 2025) - Disney completes the Slender Man theme park, built over the old Islands of Adventure. It runs smoothy for several years until Hurricane Alex destroys the park, a category 5 storm. A sequel to the Slender Man movie is made entitled, “The Blair Witch Project Three 2: Electric Boogaloo”. 7th wave (2025 - 2030) - Slender Man is now a household name. Valve releases HL3 for the X-Sphere 720, Playstation 8, and Nintendo Dolphin 3. G-Man is revealed to be Slender Man. Valve files for bankruptcy. 8th wave (2035 - 2050) - “The Blair Witch Project 7: Now It’s Personal” is released to a disinterested box office, it is a massive failure. Through the collective knowledge of the now 12 billion citizens of earth, Slender Man is summoned into existence as a Tulpa. He begins to destroy the Earth for tarnishing his image. 9th wave (2050 - 2100) - Jesus finally returns to fight Slender Man. The rapture occurs. The remaining survivors pass the time by watching old Slender series - the only surviving media from the old age of “The YouTube”. 10th wave (2100 - 2500) - Jesus sacrifices himself to destroy Slender Man. Humanity slowly rebuilds. The new generation of humans learn from their elders that the ancient documents tell of a few young men and women who recorded themselves and posted videos on a medium that used to be called “Internet”. They tell Homeric epics based off the old Slender series, tall tales of the sacred “Slender Prophecy” which detail how these series creators were kings and queens of the old world. 11th wave (2500 - 3000) - Many statues are built in honor of the ancient video masters of yore, and Jesus too. Many holy books are printed, until an global ice age occurs. Thousands of years pass, ice and erosion mask the former ruins of society. 12th wave (3000 - 4000) - The ice age thaws. A small tribe of surviving humans migrates across the continents. Civilization rises again. 13th wave (4025 - 0?) - A group of religious monks find the ruins of an old civilization of highly advanced humans, the only legible relic being a book telling of a powerful “Tall Man”, Jesus, and the Rapture. They roughly translate what they can and rewrite it, calling it “The Bible”. 14th wave (0? - 2009?) - Hundreds of years later, a devout Christian and user of the Something Awful forums named Victor Surge creates a post on the “Create Paranormal Images” thread telling of a creature called the “Slender Man”. 15th wave (2009? - 2012?) - Adam Rosner wakes up from his silly dream and doesn’t upload a video for another month.
