Here in Gaza, we no longer have the simple things that appear in your daily posts.

Things we once lived… things that were taken from us completely.

I’m not asking you to stop living your life.

I’m only asking you to be more aware.

Some things that get posted hurt us—even if you don’t mean to.

We are starving while the internet is full of food pictures.

We are displaced while photos of travel, hotels, and beautiful places keep showing up.

We are trying so hard to stay standing… and every image reminds us of what we lost.

I’m begging you… please understand.

What we’re going through is not simple.

We are losing our homes, our memories, our lives.

We are just trying to hold on to any small bit of hope… just like anyone else.

The Philippines have been hit with a variety of storms and earthquakes recently, and now he and his elderly parents have gotten sick. Johj would like to go to the hospital for a check-up, but he says it will cost over 5000 PHP, which is the equivalent of 85,30 USD.

I have given Johj what I can. I'm hoping that some others here will be able to help Johj so he can get a check up at the hospital.

Johj is a cancer survivor. In 2021, he found help on Tumblr, thanks to which he was able to afford surgery, in which they amputated his left leg (content warning for (healed) amputation and scars). Someone on Tumblr also organised a fundraiser for him at the time, with which they were able to raise the necessary funds.

Last year, Johj returned to Tumblr because his family, upon whom he is now dependent as a disabled person, was in financial trouble due to typhoons that often hit the Philippines.

Johj's Tumblr shows a consistent medical history, in which he shared updates when he was able. We have been talking for a few months now, in which he has shared pictures of the medicine that he was able to obtain with my donations.

The war took away not only my home but also the people I love most. My little cousins, Shahd (9 years old) and Aya (8 years old), lost their father when he was killed during the bombings. They now have no one left to care for them except my mother and me. My own father abandoned us when I was a child, leaving me as the only son to support my mom. But even she was injured—she was shot during the war and struggles daily with the pain.

Now, instead of treating patients in a clinic, my life has been reduced to a desperate struggle for shelter, food, and clean water. We have no safe place to live. We are constantly displaced, moving from one tent to another, and have already been forced to evacuate more than ten times. Each day is a fight for survival.

Despite everything, I carry the weight of my family’s survival on my shoulders. My cousins look up to me as their protector, and my mother still dreams that I can one day practice medicine again. But alone, with nothing, I cannot do this without your help.

Single mother Maha and her two children Joan (7) and Khalil (5) are completely alone in north Gaza. They are still in besieged Beit Lahiya, and need funds for Joan's medication, to buy a bag of flour that is not soiled by insects and/or mold, and treat their malnutrition-borne illnesses and injuries sustained under IOF assault. Anything you can give, no matter how small it seems, will help this young family survive genocide.

Little Khalil is extremely ill with a fever!! Maha needs $100 usd (about €68 EUR) to buy him treatment to reduce his fever, or he could experience severe health complications! He is very young and malnourished, and this fever is taking a heavy toll on him.

It is with a broken heart that we have to share the worst news imaginable with the NGU community. This weekend, the IOF bombed the neighborhood of Yahya Al-Habil and his family. Little Omar, Yahya’s 7-year-old brother who we have mentioned often, was martyred.

Both Yahya and his brother Mohammed are being treated in different departments for the severe injuries they sustained from this attack, and did not get the chance to say goodbye to Omar. They urgently need $700 usd to evacuate the hospital as the IOF approaches!!!

They need funds for food, 7-y/o Joan’s medication, medical treatment for malnutrition and shrapnel injuries, and hopefully supplies to salvage what shelter they can from their home.

Last year, an IOF attack killed Mohammed’s older brother, and all but destroyed Mohammed’s leg. Since then, Mohammed has been unable to attend his physical therapy due to lack of funds. The condition of his leg has deteriorated as a result.

He is raising funds for his ongoing care in Gaza and for food for his family. He has no income, nor does anyone in his family, which includes multiple disabled members who require expensive long term care. He is weak from starvation and only has one functional leg.

You are his only hope! Please help Mohammed pay for treatment for his leg and food for his family!

I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family- my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak-have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.

We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled's university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.

Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt's house, . Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.

If we stay in Gaza, we might lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza for a safe place. However, travel costs are extremely high. We need over $50,000 to leave Gaza. Due to exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, lack of security, the ongoing siege, and relentless bombardment, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity, with constant shelling and shrapnel flying above us? Dear compassionate friends around the world,

Sunday, June 29th: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I'm drowning in debt and struggling to keep my utilities on!!

I apologise for asking for help again. As most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling to make ends meet while on welfare. Due to my outstanding bills and ever-increasing debt, it has been difficult for me to make ends meet. These past few months have been absolute hell, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by.

I’m in desperate need of that kindness again, and I’ve been trying so hard to handle bills on my own and avoid asking for help, but more keep coming in. I owe £174.24 on late bills, and I’m on the verge of losing my electricity.

To make things worse, the welfare I received today wasn't enough to cover all of my rent, so I am also £70 short on making that up.

Again, I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would mean a lot, and sharing helps just as much. Please only donate if you can afford to!!

The situation in Gaza is unbearable... The bombing never stops, and death is lurking around every corner. There is no water, no electricity, no food, and no safety. What happened recently at Al-Baqa Café is only a glimpse of the hell we live in every day. People are being killed while sitting and drinking coffee, and homes are being bombed without warning.

I appeal to you as a human being going through the hardest days of my life: my family and I are in real danger. We’ve lost our source of income and are nearly homeless. We survive on a little bread, and my family goes to sleep afraid every night.

These are a few drawings my friend made of my little sister. I’m showing you these because I don’t know what else to show or what to say anymore to express our situation in northern Gaza. Rent has gone higher, inflation increases every day, one meagre meal a day is a miracle, I’m woken up by hunger cramps the rare times I manage to fall asleep, we’ve run out of painkillers, I’m struggling to finish university, the internet keeps going out, mice and cockroaches crawl over us while we try to sleep, my brother went to an aid distribution center and barely escaped with his life and Soso won’t stop crying.

I don’t know anymore. To tell the truth, I’ve lost all hope. I’m just so tired. If it wasn’t for Soso, I would just give up, delete this campaign and this account and just accept whatever comes. But I can’t because it’s not fair to her, she’s only 4. Children deserve health and happiness. I feel hopeless because I can’t give her that.

Please help me. At least please share if you can’t donate so that this can reach someone who can. I’m not asking you to do it for me but for a child who doesn’t remember a life without pain, hunger and fear. Please.
