Reading Empire of AI by Karen Hao (highly recommended, by the way), and she wrote one of the best descriptors of people who use ai constantly (at least in my opinion):
"...[they] become ventriloquists for chat bots."
Absolutely perfect.

Mipha is thinking on someone.. Β°.β’
Every single time I listen to Mipha's theme I cry a little.
It's such a beautiful piece of music and it touches me, but also the future that was stolen from her and link just tears at my heart

We were tagged by @prettyasapic for this getting to know you meme. The other post was getting very long, so we're putting our answers on their own to save your dash. (Also, we're a whole team of reader's advisors, so we have a variety of answers for each question!)
Here we go! If you particularly like someone's answers, we've included everyone's individual rec tag in the tags - you should be able to just click it and see what they've recc'd in the past. Oh, and if anyone else wants to do this, consider yourself tagged :)

"Block this ad" isn't good enough, I need a feature that directly tells the company "this was so shit that it lowered my opinion of your product"
"Ha, can't fool me, I've learned my lesson,"
he said, not having learned his lesson.
I carry a space pen around with me everywhere I go in case I ever need a pen, and this morning I remembered that boomer joke about the space pen that gets passed around online, so naturally I spent the morning being rationally angry at the anti-intellectualism movement.
Every time I see great art out there in the world, I think, "Hell yeah. Exist out here. Be useless."
Freakin' art being great. Gets me every time.

I am shocked at how many people don't have an actively hostile relationship with advertising
I am skipping your ads as fast as I can. I'm skipping past your sponsor read. I'm muting the tv. I'm muting the tab. If they get too annoying I will simply stop trying to watch.
If advertisers can use every manipulative trick in the book to get me to buy their product, I am fully within my rights to do everything I can on my end to make their job impossible
Might I suggest firefox with ublock origin and sponsor block for youtube. It's actually made youtube bearable. Also privacy possum
I have all of the above and I'm running noscript. It takes 3 minutes for me to make a website work.
This is my entire life. Combination of this and a pi-hole blocks virtually everything on my home network.
And I'll purposefully go out of my way to avoid ads anytime I'm out in public. Blaring TV in the doctor's waiting room? This spot of carpet looks really interesting to me.
Honestly don't know how anyone else can live with ads just being normal. It's maddening that they're so pervasive.
