I've recently had to take the past few weeks off work because of incidents and family matters, resulting in my mental health spiralling. For context regarding my financial status, I am a casual employee who only works 1 day a week, paid fortnightly. As a casual employee, I am not entitled to any paid leave, so I've gone through the past few weeks with no money coming in but plenty coming out for bills and basic needs.
Everything I say after this is purely to explain why the state of mental health is so crap, not to garner sympathy or guilt anyone into giving me money or attention. If you do not have the money or desire to commission me, that's OK. Only commission me if that is what you want to do.
Approximately three weeks ago, I experienced a domestic abuse situation with a family member, which led me to leave my home out of fear for my safety. This event has shaken me a lot and taken a huge mental toll on me, resulting in the development of certain emotional triggers surrounding the incident and things related to that family member.
The week after, I lost the use of my car, causing continued panic over how I'm going to get to and from work, as I live almost 50 minutes away.
And just this past week, we received confirmation that my mother has cancer. When I visited her yesterday, she sat me down and informed me that doctors had formally diagnosed her with stage 4 triple-hit lymphoma, a rare and aggressive blood cancer. With how the cancer has been attacking her body, there's a chance she might not even survive the intensive chemo treatments she has to go through.
My mum has always been there for me, and I'm terrified of losing her. I'm a complete mess trying to come to terms with the reality of her situation.
Any money I get from commissions will be saved and used only when necessary. When I'm no longer in need of emergency commissions, I will take down my post.

Came up with SlightArtist because I was hella insecure about my art skills when I decided to open an Instagram art account. I mostly just didn't want people to set high expectations of me and/or the quality of my art (still kinda do lol). Nowadays, the username has just attached itself to my identity as a whole because it's lowkey weird sometimes to hear someone call me by my actual name rather than "Slight".
I won't spoil too much BUT!! Krel survives because I have a specific plan to essentially break Gaylen's core in half on accident. He's not overwhelmed by its power because he doesn't have all of it, hence the eyes :3

4. Currently Watching: Nothing in particular as of RIGHT NOW, but I'm waiting for the last Digital Circus episode to come out on YouTube! Gonna get my friends together for a watch party of all 9 eps! Other than that, I plan to watch the new season of One Piece soon! Just waitin on the dub to catch up.
5. Craving: McDonald's Fries. NO WAIT- KFC fries... mmmm deep fried potatoes... Mashed potatoes sound pretty good too... I love potatoes.
6. Coffee or Tea: Out of the two... tea. I dislike the taste of coffee. Not very big on hot drinks, though. I'm a cold drinks kind of guy, lol
7. Currently Playing: My daily rotation atm is Heartopia, Infinity Nikki, Palia and Tomogachi Life: LTD. I mostly log in and do my dailies before getting off. Palia is my GOAT though. I love Palia. Would recommend if you like life sims and/or open world MMOs.

Also, here's the inspiration for Penelope, Bernie, and Kova's eyeliner. Penelope's is based on Reaper 8394 (the albino), Bernie's is based on 0204 (for obvious reasons, i mean look at the man's hair), and Kova's is based on 5012.
0204 dislikes penguins because his glamour (animal disguises in the human realm for reapers, in this franchise) is a penguin and the dork wanted something 'cooler' XDDDD
The base game of A Date With Death and the demo for A Date With Death 2, plus the prequel webtoon A Date With Death Zero, are all free! Lots lots more of that beautiful artstyle to see. There's some cutscene art that I found absolutely breathtaking! And the voice acting patch just dropped earlier this week, so on the off chance anyone plays it, remember to go into the settings and switch the VO on <3 oh and water the bedside plant. I accidentally got the bad ending my first time playing adwd, partially by not realizing i could water the plant.
lmao that's actually so funny. We stan a petty king. 🙇
Also, I'll def consider giving the game a try. I don't usually play visual novels (I'm dyslexic and a prolific spam skipper of dialogue texts), but if they've added voice lines to the game, then maybe my smol brain can handle it.
The first game has all face-to-face interaction voiced (which is a very large part of the game), including both DLCs. There is still a lot of time spent in the chatroom- thankfully, though, this game franchise is also kind enough to dole out its text in small pieces, which helps my neurodivergent tushie process it at least. I'm not dyslexic but it is PAINFUL for me to focus on long paragraphs, and I never once had an issue with processing text in either ADWD game. <3 I adore this franchise I do hope it tickles your fancy :D
I started playing it the other night (i think I'm on Day 3... maybe??) and you know what? Really wasn't expecting the MC to be such a ragebaiting troll. I appreciate that.
Also, as an "Australian", I'm breaking my NDA and confirming Australia IS in fact a myth. It doesn't exist. It's a hoax. We're all paid actors.
