A cozy father/daughter moment for TheSleepyBean! (Sorry I couldn’t tag your Tumblr for some reason T_T), who takes such good care of Gihun in her fanfic ❤️❤️❤️
Kim Rok Soo, or, well, Cale, wants to kill himself as a glowing screen with a start screen is shown in front of him. Cale has read a lot of manga or whatnot to know what is going on here. Cale just sighs before clicking on the start button.

[Good morning, Cale, or should I say Kim Rok Soo?]
Cale just sighs before saying, "It's best to just call me Cale; after all, I am in his body."
[Ok. Changing the username to Cale. Would you like to pick your welcome gift or would you like to know your task?]
"I will do that later; now tell me what I need to do," Cale said as he clicked off on the gift pop-up.

[Your current and main task is to improve your relationship with the main character.]
[Do you accept?]
"Well, there goes my stay out of everything plan," Cale said with a sigh before seeing the side task tab, which he clicked on.
[Side task loading... loading fail]
[Please, start the main quest before starting a side task. Please note that side tasks will only show up anytime during a quest point.]
Cale just sighs before clicking off the side task and accepting the main task.
[Main task is accepted]

The system took Cale through his profit, where it lists all his skills (that can be updated) and his current health (which is under a curse, Yay), followed by the shop, where he can find almost everything, but most of the good stuff is locked under quest completion or just causes a lot of Rp (reputation point) or MP (point from saving people). After all of that and the system disappearing, Cale heads over to his desk and pulls open the student calendar. From how the new calendar and textbook plus Og! Cale's last memory is traveling to the Academy; it is safe to say today is the 29th of March in Year 781 of the Felix Calendar.
Based on that information, today is the start of the school year, and it will be around 3 more months before the main character shows up. This should give him enough time to get on some of the main leads' good side and figure out his power and abilities. how bad his health is, gain information, and secure escape routes. Cale pulled open the drawer where he put his notebook full of information, all written in Korean, in case someone entered his room and went through his things.
Birth of the Silent Hero is an otome game that focuses on an unnamed girl as she transfers into Roan Academy in the middle of the year because she has holy magic. However, she was quickly bullied due to her being a commoner and having weak holy magic, even though holy magic is a rare and quite powerful magic, even if it is weak. As the story line continues, the game will fall into a set of six routes depending on the action of the main character.
Main character/Player: Based entirely on the player's choice. ??? Holy magic is weak, and she is a girl. three more months before she shows up.
Cale Henituse is the oldest son of the Henituse family and has been cast aside from inheritance in favor of the second son, his stepbrother Basen. He acts as the small-time villain; he messes with the main character, runs with the wrong crowd, and dies in the most painful way every time the game hits the midway point. Really good-looking, with a slender frame and some lean muscle. While reputation, on the other hand, is down in the trash.
Cale's father, Count Deruth, did promise to take care of Cale Henituse’s funds for the rest of his life as long as Cale can: 1. stay out of major trouble; and 2. graduate from Roan Academy with at least the minimum requirements. How the current relationship is negative due to something that happened (that, for some reason, Cale cannot remember)
Cale's mother is the former Countess Jour; not much is known about her, even from Cale's memory or the game.
Cale put down the pen he was using and quickly called upon the system.

[Good morning, Cale. Would you like to pick a gift now?]
Cale clicks on accept and looks at the gift that shows up. He could have a magical Communicator that he can use to call anyone without it being traced or using any form of power, a vial that can cure anything but curse illness, or a notebook that will update with any information if he comes across it and will disappear back into the system storage after use. Cale just sighs before clicking on the notebook. It would save him time, even if it is a bit annoying to write something down when he no longer needs it.
The notebook falls onto Cale’s lap before flowing up and sucking Cale’s old notebook into it. The notebook opens itself up as the system fades away. The information in it is much better than what he can write down. After, he finished reading the information, the notebook disappeared into thin air.
His old plan was to avoid the main cast, but now, due to the system, he must be close but keep them at arm's length. However, he cannot be friends with any of the villains in the line-up and must stay far, far away from the player. It is simple, easy, and impossible to go wrong. Lucky for him and unluckily for him, Cale has made this both hard and easy to do. On the one hand, Cale is a rich loner who has his own dorm and very few friends, meaning that he will have an easier time acting at him, while on the other hand, the trashy repetition will make it hard to be close with the main cast without heavy suspensions. However, the good outweighs the bad so far, but knowing Cale's luck, something may go wrong.
Cale takes a quick look at the time. It's eight in the morning. It should be about time to leave, though he is unsure of how early courses begin in this world. Within minutes, he puts on his uniform and tugs on his schoolbag, sleepy and dragging his steps. There is no one in the hallways, and there is no one when he departs the dorm building. Huh? Has he already missed class? Is it Friday or the weekend? Cale remembers from the game that the student takes the weekend off, and Friday is for long club and study hall. Then again, it could be that school does not start on the first day of the term but on the second. He takes a few leisurely walks and then comes to a halt. Then again, maybe he should just skip school and sleep in. He'll simply take a little nap, just long enough to miss a few classes. After all, those types of acts will be very much in accordance with the personality of the original Cale, but on the other hand, he will be missing information. Cale just sighs before heading back to his dorm.
As the intercoms start up, a cheery little tune begins to play around him. "Good morning, everyone! Today is March 29th, Year 781 of the Felix Calendar. I hope you had a good night's sleep last night. Are you all looking forward to the beginning of a new school year? The weather is lovely right now. Oh yes, I believe our first years seem to be being greeted by a warm morning. Right, I should be ending this soon after all; I do not want to take much of your time. I am beyond excited to learn together with everyone for another wonderful year. It is time to get back to your lessons. Knowledge is waiting for you!" As the announcement concludes, another cheerful jingle plays.
It's a nice, silky voice that sounds strangely familiar. It's playful, welcoming, and a little too happy for such a bright and early morning. It sounds like sunlight in a bottle—a voice that would be perfect for radio stations. He sounds too young to be the school's principal; could he have been a member of the broadcasting club? Regardless, the dorm comes to life, as though the fog has been lifted. There is discussion and bustle as students prepare for the new day, with shuffling footsteps and creaky doors. Cale must have departed too soon back then. It's a good thing he returned, after all, with his notoriety, it'll be insane for Cale Henituse to be the first one in the classroom.
All the classes went smoothly, even if there was a magic aptitude test in the period before lunch. Cale got a C-rank, somehow, because in the game where he originated, Cale got a D-rank. Right now, his eyes are on a jet-black-haired, onyx-eyed, slightly tanned-skin man, who is a bit shy as his magic rank came out as a double SS. The men are none other than Choi Han, one of the many powerful main leads. However, the white bubble with a 0% that is floating above Choi Han’s head is none other than the RP of the system. Which he needs to keep above 60% before the winter ball.
When the bell rings, the class is dismissed. A darkness falls over Cale as he begins to gather his belongings. He raises his head. He recognizes the man using the original memories of this body. Viscount Tolz's successor, Neo Tolz In a universe where everyone's hair is every color of the rainbow, Neo is unfortunate enough to have a dull shade of brown. Everything about him is weak and boring, and he's essentially a standard villain thrown in to carry the plot forward. Shame; he and the original Cale were great friends before Neo stabbed him in the back. Cale just sighs before walking away from Neo; he ignores what he was going to say.
With that in mind, he heads to the school cafeteria, or at least tries to. The school is too big, with over 5 floors, and too wide. Ugh, by the time he finds the cafeteria, it will be time to start class tomorrow. Lucky for Cale, a kind voice rang out, "Are you lost?" Cale prayed it was not the main lead before turning around to face the person who said it.
Ah, Choi Han, the poster child of Birth of the Silent Hero. He is one of the more popular male leads due to his route being the easiest compared to the others and being a puppy or cinnamon roll. To add to his bad ending, it's just the player and him not getting together.
"Hello? You seem to be blanking out," Choi Han said as he waved his hand in front of Cale. "Huh? Oh, I was just lost in my thoughts. Yeah, um, I am lost." Cale said. Choi Han seems to bighting from Cale's answers before saying, "So, where are you going? Do you need help carrying anything?" Choi Han said this with a wide smile. "The cafeteria, and no, I don’t need any help carrying stuff," Cale said. Choi Han's smile widens, and he nods in understanding. "Ah, I see. The cafeteria can be a bit tricky to find, especially on your first day. Don't worry; I'll show you the way. It's on the fourth floor, and I'm heading there too." Cale tries to hide his surprise, not expecting Choi Han to offer assistance. However, he decides to play along, keeping up his aloof demeanor. "Sure, if you insist. Lead the way," he says with a nonchalant tone.
As Cale and Choi Han make their way through the school corridors, Cale takes the opportunity to observe his new companion. Choi Han is taller than him and has a calm and composed demeanor. His onyx eyes seem to hold a hint of kindness, which contrasts with his reserved nature. Cale recalls from the game that Choi Han is known for his exceptional combat skills and his dedication to training. It's no wonder he scored a double SS in the magic aptitude test. As they climb the stairs to the fourth floor, Cale decides to strike up a conversation, attempting to find out why Choi Han is so helpful to Cale when in the game they hate each other, but before Cale even asks a question, Choi Han says, "So, you are Cale Henituse, the trash son of the Henituse family? Oh, right, I did not introduce myself, I am Choi Han." Cale just blinks before saying, "Well, that's one way to introduce yourself. Well, yes, I am Cale Henituse". Cale said before sighing.
Cale and Choi Han continue their walk towards the cafeteria, and Cale can't help but feel a bit uneasy about Choi Han's straightforwardness. It seems that the original Cale's reputation has preceded him, even in this early stage of the game. Cale decides to keep his guard up and play his cards carefully.
"So, Choi Han, why are you helping me?" Cale asks, trying to sound nonchalant.
Choi Han's expression remains friendly as he answers, "Well, I believe in giving people a fair chance. Besides, it's the beginning of a new school year, and I think it's important to start off on the right foot. Plus, I'm not one to hold grudges or judge people solely based on rumors."
Cale raises an eyebrow, not expecting such a reasonable response. He thought Choi Han would have some underlying motive or hidden agenda. Maybe things are different this time around. Cale can't help but feel a slight curiosity about Choi Han's intentions.
As they reach the fourth floor and enter the bustling cafeteria, Choi Han leads Cale towards an empty table. Cale takes a seat, while Choi Han goes to grab their trays and utensils.
Well...That weird. Cale cannot tell if he is lucky or unlucky as the bright 6% shines above Choi Han's head. But before Cale can ponder over the possibilities that are laid out in front of him, he suddenly starts to cough up blood and pass out. Missing all the yelling and the crash of mental plates

So, I'm a fanfic writer and this is one of the many books I've wrote. It's not my first book, but somehow, this book manage to reach that much of reads and I'm pretty sure I published it last year. I'm just honestly surprised and I'm so sorry happy that people actually read my story. Thank you so much for those who reads my story and enjoy it! I'll be sure to update it soon!
Also, this story is available on AO3, my username is Hikari_Tatsu_TheElementalistWolf
I would never want somethin like that to happen! Hell, i condemn it. But … I try to at least keep myself informed a little bit. Are there any good sources for this?
They’ve been doing it for a long time. Anytime you need to know what’s gong on in this world you watch PBS News or BBC World News. No other entity does the job better.
Sometimes, I found it heartbreaking that a writer had to stop writing their stories because some readers said that it's too depressing, angsty. Readers, sometimes you need to know that maybe that's how the writers are feeling at the moment. So they write it down. You asking them to change the ideas or to make it happier is like you asking them to find another coping mechanism. What if they decided to hurt themselves to cope since they can't write anymore? Please, if you don't like the story because it's too depressing, then stop reading it. Don't hurt the writer by asking them to change the story. If you're uncomfortable with the story then stop reading it, don't blame the writer for it.
