my thoughts on the celestial body for the new life series winner (spoilers under cut, again)
joel’s life series winner symbol should be an astronaut in a rocket ship.
1. fits with the space theme everyone has got going on
2. joel’s build for this series was his car. cars are man-made hunks of steel controlled by humans. so are rockets.
3. the other big thing for joel this series? family. typically on space missions astronauts were piloted by a small group of people who probably underwent a lot of space training together. a found family of sorts. except his family was killed off by the nature of the life series.
4. lets face it, joel is one of the life series members who are more detached from the watcher lore, so it would make sense to make him some sort of passive observer to it (in comparison to scott who actively defied the watchers, and pearl who saw shit go down in evo, and cleo who is sometimes not recognized as a real winner bc the watchers saw her season as a fluke)
honestly, i think its kind of a stretch since rockets aren’t celestial bodies, but i think it sorta works with the whole space thing. also a rocket ship is really a car when you think about it.
