Dude i don’t think many people talk about the scene between david and ellie in the last of us, not just the part where she absolutely beats the shit outta him with that machete but the part after it, i know people disagree strongly on who they casted to play ellie but i think bella absolutely killed this role.
I can’t talk much tho since i’m not crazy on the actual game, but the way ellie stumbled out of the building her face just showing pure fear and her body language was so tense just shows how terrified she was, i’m not assuming it but i think this was her first experience with SA so she was fucking TERRIFIEDDD and i loved how they made joel come up from behind her and ellie started freaking tf out because she was so genuinely traumatised by what she just went through she thought anyone who came near her wanted to hurt her or assault her, like bro that shit makes my heart SHATTER!
But when she realises it’s joel the way her eyes switched from fucking terrified too teary as soon as she realised it was him like oh my GODDDDDDD, the way joel comforts her and ellie just immediately clings onto him, also when bella did the thing when you try to talk but alll that comes out is mumbles she really showed that what ellie just experienced made her whole body shut down and crumble, i think we see ellie in the show as this tough girl who is actually kinda bad ass and would probably beat the shit outta you if you crossed the line, but we got to see in that scene the downfall too ellie and how she was when she experienced something so life altering and traumatic, like it makes me cry every single time watching back to that scene, don’t even get me started when joel starts calling her “babygirl” DONT GET ME STARTED, when he said to her “it’s okay babygirl, i got you” LIKE FUCK YOUUU MAN FUCK OFFFF, first time i watched that scene i was BAWLING i saw the scene in the game and i love how in the series you get to see the real thing and i love how they alter every scene differently like from the game, like in the game joel stops ellie’s whole breakdown pulling her off of david, but in the series we got too see ellie literally finish off the fucker, her pouring out every last drop of her rage into it, i remember watching the scene with my dad and even my dad went “FUCK YEAHHHH!”
